testing out my slow 400mm lens. takes some getting use to. I'm a bit miffed at how soft this lens is at F/5.6. Nice and sharp at F/8. It's an old Vivitar / Komine, not Series 1. I'd bet the old 450mm solid cat takes a sharper picture at F/8. But for $40 it'll work for now....

Natural lighting is always the best for closeups. Here I'm trying to get a little highlighting from the sun behind me.

I loved all of the colors in the ice cream bar, but I had no idea the photo would turn out as good as it did.

On Saturday October 2nd I met with one of my photography meet up groups at Point Reyes National Seashore. It was a great day with a lot of good photo ops.
