Closing time, time for you to go out
To the places you will be from
Closing time, this room wont be open
Till your brothers or your sisters come
So gather up your jackets, move it to the exits
I hope you have found a friend
Closing time, every new beginning
Comes from some other beginnings end.
~ Semisonic, Closing Time
- Taken just after New Years Eve fireworks display at Victoria Harbor. Human traffic going back home.
Not closely related to any other kind of bird but full of character. Their nests (said to be strong enough to take the weight of a man) are huge constructions, usually in a tree fork and made of mud-cemented branches , twigs and anything they can find. They might be something around 1.05 metres wide and roughly ball-shaped with one entrance-hole in the side.
There may be smaller birds, snakes, small mammals etc. living in the walls and larger animals or birds of prey will move-in when the nest is empty or might just evict the Hamerkops. However, the Hamerkops are compulsive nest-builders and may have several to chose from.
Manor Nurseries will be closing on Sunday 19th July 2015.
We would like to thank our customers for your continuous support, especially over these last few difficult years. We have appreciated the many kind words and the offers of help for now and the future.
We all have enjoyed working here and will really miss it, but most of all we will miss you, our very loyal customers.
A big thank you from all the staff at Manor.
My mum lives on the other side of the world 6 months of every year. Sometimes I really miss her, then I remember how close she is.
#28:Too Close. A thunderstorm partly lit by the setting sun. The clouds evoke the feeling of Double Vision, an exhibition by Hulleah J. Tsinhnahjinnie at the Great Plains Art Museum.
I know she may not approve of being displayed but I think its only fair to mention the person who send me a free flickr account out of the blue last year.
A very soft spoken, practical and down to earth girl.
Came home straight after the Ash wednesday service and that explains the mark on the forehead.

Something from a long time. It was taken last month but didn't had time to post-process anything. Finally had time to do some photography. Basically didn't do much editing for this, it came out the way it is.
I initially thought the sunset was going to be terrible due to the incoming storm clouds, but turns out to have a surprising ending.
It has also been a while since I last stepped here. Alot of sea cranes and construction popped up along the nearby shores as seen. Kinda sad to see it this way.

I didn't take this photo, my daughter did. She took this photo of this gentleman while he shot her. :)
He then scribbled something on a piece of paper and passed it to her. He gave her a web address.
Later we found out he wrote a blog post on his close encounter with my daughter.
Here is the blog post,

I'm not sure this is suitable for family viewing, but it certainly fits today's challenge!
