Bridgetown Port, June 10th, 2009 – Just days after receiving recognition for Achievement of Excellence at the Barbados Tourism Awards 2009, the staff of Atlantis Submarines in Barbados is back to work preparing for another major event as they take receipt of a second submarine. The 48 seat submarine Atlantis XV arrived early on Wednesday June 10th, 2009, to little fanfare, aboard the MV Karin direct from Atlantis Submarines in St. Thomas, its home since 1999. Due to a number of factors including the economic downturn the Atlantis Submarines St. Thomas site officially ceased operation on May 30th 2009.
