My mother mailed me a couple of clipped-out stories from the Dallas Morning News. One was a story about "Home Prices Unlikely To Dive In Dallas", and the other about a cute fella I used to know.
I guess it struck me as really old-fashioned - I can't remember the last time I clipped a story out of the paper and put it in the mail to someone.
Anyway, this is about where my Mom and I are in the communication chain. It's easier just to clip random stories out of the paper and put them in the mail instead of actually speaking. One of the last times I phoned to tell them about the move back home, my Dad said "Here's your Mother - tell her what you just told me." I could hear her in the background saying "I don't want to talk to her!" That was just fine with me, really. It's going to be very interesting to see how things go when I fly in late Thursday...
