After our 12 hour days being shut down to six, and being removed from two floors of a hospital due to COVID, I completed my last clinical in my obstetrics rotation last week. It was an amazing experience, much like most of my nursing career. I'm so happy I took the risk and jumped into this field. At Ohio State, you cannot simply choose to be in the nursing major. You first apply to the pre-nursing major, and if you receive admission, you then spend your first year on campus competing with the other first years to claim a coveted spot in the nursing major after applying the spring semester of your first year. I worked hard and made the cut freshman year, and although it was a huge risk, I'm so glad it worked in my favor.
