. Clinical research requires trials conducted to collect information regarding the efficiency and safety of a new drug, device, or treatment. These are tested on certain individuals, and this process is termed clinical trial recruitment. The main aim of associate recruitment is to raise awareness about clinical research courses and to encourage the enrolment of patients. Clinical trials form the major portion of clinical research.

Graham Beastall. Could this man have been one ofthe original Beatles? Possibly. A native of Liverpool, Beastall went to high school with Paul McCartney and George Harrision. Fortunately for us, John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men had an impact on his life. How did he end up in the field of clinical chemistry? What drives him? To find out, read this month's Inspiring Minds feature about the scientist and the IFCC president who makes his way each weekend to 1 of Glasgow's toughest neighborhoods to attend to the well-being of the youth in a housing project. More often than not, I will be seen wearing the College of Nursing’s signature red scrubs. When I put on the uniform, I represent an institution and all of its ideals. Each clinical day is filled with learning experiences, albeit some negative, in order to prepare me for my role as a nurse in the near future. As a nursing student, I have become comfortable in my duties; I know how to reach success. Similarly, as a student at Ohio State, my identity is currently closely tied to the university environment. Therefore, I took a picture in a university-affiliated hospital. Fortunately or unfortunately, I will be spending around forty hours of my time each week at this location or one similar to it. My friend Mallory is also pictured as the art and science of the nursing career involves teamwork.
