Large cliff fall in Bournemouth on Sunday. Luckily some eagle eyed council staff spotted the crakcs before the fall and cordoned the area off, and no one was hurt. The area still looks very unstable and you can see the Jon Egging memorial is now perilously close to the edge

These breathtaking coral-colored sand dunes are surrounded by red sandstone cliffs, blue skies and deep emerald vegetation. They can be found at Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park in southeastern Utah.....a photographer's paradise. The geology of the sand dunes is intriguing. The sand comes from Navajo sandstone from the geologic period called Middle Jurassic. The dunes are created by sand grains blown by high winds from the rocks above. They support a diverse population of insects....melting snow in the winter and early spring often creates small ponds on the dunes that also support amphibians such as salamanders and toads.
".......the colors are such as no pigments can portray. They are deep, rich and variegated,
and so luminous are they, that light seems to glow or shine out of the rock rather than to
be reflected from it." (from Geology of The High Plateaus of Utah, 1880, by Clarence Dutton)

Although Hunstanton is on the east coast of the UK, the shore faces west and you can watch the sun setting over the sea there.
I've been off the grid for a few days enjoying myself. Anyone know where this is at? It was a lot of fun cliff jumping and swimming.
This is actually a composite of two different focal lengths, if you look not so carefully you can see the joins where the detail level shoots up.
There is a cropped version of the cliffs here: www.flickr.com/photos/oybon/53399387230/
