My I phone 6 camera...My employees Luke and Adam packing leaves in my truck today. So many leaves. It's that time of year. It was such a beautiful day today. We had pizzas and chicken wings for lunch today as it was Luke's 18th birthday. We sat outside on a bench for lunch and it was like summer. So warm and sunny. :D

Blasting underneath the classic Chicago and North Western signal bridge in Glenview, it was a little disappointing that it was running clean and on the close track.
Working with High-Contrast films can be both fun and frustrating, but in the right developers and conditions they can be a lot of fun. I remember Eastman 5363 well, so having a chance to try out another newer version, in this case, Eastman 2369, certainly turned out some amazing results.

Lots of Bald Eagles today, estimated over 600. Not as many Trumpeter Swans and the count is going down as you can see.
And I was so looking forward to a dip in the pool!
Actually, this pool is never open. It's located at Warm Springs camp. This version of the camp was built in the 1930s, but had been used for generations by Native Americans. Mining in the area consisted mostly of talc mines and quarries.
The pool used to be fed by the warm spring located about a quarter mile into the hills behind the house. The NPS has diverted the stream to avoid filling the pool, which usually has a bunch of stagnant rain water in it. A group of skateboarders had recently cleaned it out.
Up at the headwater of the little spring, someone created a pool by damming a section with rocks. You can go for a dip (I did once), but the water isn't very deep and not all that warm.

We are revisiting my trips to Death Valley, starting in 2003, and posting one photo a day from each trip (except for the year 2014), in anticipation of my upcoming trip later this month.
One more from my morning experimenting with a shade #13 welding glass (approx 17 stops), combined here with a 3 stop graduated filter.
Though the sun was still quite low in the sky, it was fully daylight, so quite a dark piece of glass is required to do long exposures.
I think this cheap piece of welding glass passed the test with flying colours.
Now to try it at midday in full sun to see how it fares :)

This is like a block from my office, I was coming back from Subway and saw this guy cleaning this machine, I have no idea what it is.
