14 years today. Thank you to my daughter for saving my life, then and every day since.
I mark my anniversary every year not to say "go me!" but to let others know it is possible to live without drugs and alcohol. I should be dead from the things I was doing, and I may as well have been because I was not living. Putting down the drink and the drugs gave me a chance to live life as it is, with all of its ups and downs, its tragedies and triumphs, and every beautiful mistake in between.
If you need help, all you need to do is ask for it, and then you can start living too.
With the grand opening looming the windows have a clean to remove any dirty hand prints left by the builders fitting them
Maritime Museum of New Zealand taken from a boat on the water. The building is actually very colorful with a lot going on around it visually. However, I wanted to emphasize the clean lines and dark/light contrasts on a closeup.
You can't clean without some good jams.

So tomorrow morning I'm off to sunny/windy/snowy/cold/beautiful Iceland. My good friend Mike and I have an epic 8 day adventure planned. Pure photography with the odd hot dog for sustenance! What could be better?
This is my last strobo post for a while as landscapes will be the main event :) Not gonna bore you with the details but this is me 'blower'!
Not sure how regular my 366 shots will be next week but guaranteed there will be one everyday when I get back :)
Bags are packed, gear is cleaned, undercrackers are washed and I have some special little items to remind me of back home. So looking forward to this!

Waste Removal Worker walks into a serious dust storm along country road in the UAE. These men walk massive distances every day picking up waste thrown out of car windows.
Whether it's hazardous waste, nuclear, or a biological weapon, Clean-Sweep is the man for the job.
Found Clean-Sweep locally today, didn't realize until I got home that I had found an eco warriors figure on earth day. I guess it was meant to be.

These fishermen normally pull their nets from the water just b4 sunset ... everyday .. but not at the same spot. So i needed to look for them somewhere along the long beach. Finally i found them 3km away from where i had parked my car. But to my disappointment they were winding up things as I was a bit late. Here one of them is cleaning the net from finger size fishes as others were busy in sorting the stock. I got around 150 shots in 20 mins or so as the sun was in real hurry to go down and light was changing real fast with changing positions of these boys. I had to move fast too with their positions as I needed the sun right behind him in this shot. I have been posting these shots time to time and there are still some left for future uploads :)

The City of Lawrenceburg is cleaning up debris from the recent flooding of the Ohio River. The walkway to the floating restaurant is full of wood.
I have an old Helios 44 lens that was bad inside. I took it apart and gave it a right good clean. As I have another one of these lenses I decided after cleaning the class I would reverse the front element. This is one of the results.

In September 1991, Weyerhaeuser moved all equipment that could roll off of the Oregon, California & Eastern. It had been nearly a year and a half since the last revenue log train, and abandonment of the railroad was pending.
Some of the items went to other Weyco operations. and some were sold. Many of the log cars were cut up in Klamath Falls. This included most of the ex-Milwaukee Road cars with friction bearings that migrated south after MILW abandoned its operations in Washington.
The first clean up train had a little bit of everything. It is shown here approaching Hildebrand, roughly halfway from West Switchback to Dairy.
Mr. Clean is drying out after being in the whirlpool!

Former Canadian National Mogul #89 charges up the grade between East Strasburg Yard and Paradise Lane in reverse, with the Johnson Bar back in the corner to blow out the flues and smokebox. The morning hostler is completing preparations for her use on Strasburg's half hour trains and will shortly couple to the consist and hand the reins over to the crew who will run her for the day.

Woo hoo ... I have a window cleaner :)))
For the last 41 years, the OH would not let me have a window cleaner, so I had to clean them myself. He cleaned 1 window once, and made it look dirtier!
But now his brain has turned to mush, he's forgotten that he objected, and finally someone else will clean my 27 windows, 5 doors and 4 metre square conservatory, every 6 weeks. I still have the insides to do, but at least I'm not toppling about on a ladder outside :)
