This adorable lady was busy working "cleaning bird shit" as I heard her describe. She happened to spy me spying her. After the shot she covered her face and then smiled at me in recognition.

I have often passed this church on my travels through the town of Stalham, Norfolk, each time telling myself that I must stop and get some images of these clean and attractive geometric lines.
So this morning I did just that.
A frosty but bright morning with a clear Blue sky, perfect!
Working with High-Contrast films can be both fun and frustrating, but in the right developers and conditions they can be a lot of fun. I remember Eastman 5363 well, so having a chance to try out another newer version, in this case, Eastman 2369, certainly turned out some amazing results.

Lots of Bald Eagles today, estimated over 600. Not as many Trumpeter Swans and the count is going down as you can see.
One more from my morning experimenting with a shade #13 welding glass (approx 17 stops), combined here with a 3 stop graduated filter.
Though the sun was still quite low in the sky, it was fully daylight, so quite a dark piece of glass is required to do long exposures.
I think this cheap piece of welding glass passed the test with flying colours.
Now to try it at midday in full sun to see how it fares :)
