Graham was on his own this weekend so he undertook the next section of floor scrubbing. Its a long hard graft scrubbing the floor, thankless task but it is great to see the back of the grime.

The balconies are painted and the scaffolding gone :)

Shock, horror …. I cleaned my car :))) It was covered in building dust! I'm off to Scotland on 14th April, so thought I'd better get the car serviced before I go … hence giving it a clean before taking it to garage.

This can be for the 365 treasure hunt, number 65 The Blues.

This shot has clearly been panned vertically and to the side while it propagates. I like the streaks that look like a broom sweeping the floor with a firefall thrown in. Apparently the motion changed as the flares changed. What day is it? What day is it? ...It's the Fourth of July!

It has been three years since Phil and I enjoyed the Frogmont fireworks when we got a spot on the hill. This time I parked over at Golden Ponds and walked over to Roger's Grove to be the closet to the launch site. Longmont bagged fireworks in the forest fire year. I got stuck some distance across Hover for last year. I was determined to get a lot closer this year. After switching to hand holding long exposures for the carney and Christmas lights, I had great luck so I had that in mind this year. I started out just after 7:00 in the evening but I only managed one of the last two spots at the park.

This is like a box of chonklits; you never know what you gits. After slipping this into Photoshop, I adjusted for the exact perspective for better presentation. The fine coloration was really untouched. I tried to maximize the light streaks. I didn't even need to jamb hell out of color balance and pump the saturations. I left them untouched.

This shot is clearly zoomed even though the EXIF relates 70mm. That must be logged at the end of an exposure. The but because I got tight, lights were kept out of wide shots. I got a lot closer. I did a zoom along with intentional jiggles AND movement to add to the action. I am going to try as many as I can snag. Reality is highly overrated.

I never have finished my previous color lights or rose garden experiments. I will take the opportunity to try out more tricks before the next fair rides. I am still not out of snaps of other subjects but I hope my breadth has expanded. I did vewwy, vewwy wittle warping and editing, for me at least, to present these the way I wanted. I have learned to slow the camera down even further to three seconds this time but I boosted the lens setting to f:/22. Three seconds is about enough to accomplish a wide array of tricks if prepared and prepanned so to speak. Of course this digital experimentation is cheap. I had fun shooting all of these and they were a breeze to edit! I get mostly muted colors in the ag settings I have shot, so I revel in JUST COLORS. And this title DOES have a nice touch for the actual scene, don't you think? I spent hours giving this stuff titles.

Trying to stay clean on the streets, when you don't have a real roof over your head or a bathroom, is a real challenge. This is just outside the "famous" Maharajah Hotel Restaurant in Triplicane, Chennai. I think she's washing dishes.

These amazing people, whom I dubbed "the pavement dwellers," literally live on the Triplicane sidewalks. At night they bundle up whatever clothes they have underneath them (so they won't get stolen), pull out a cheap plastic or straw mat and sleep with a sheet pulled tightly over their heads, like corpses, to keep the mosquitoes off.

But please, please, do not hand the little kiddies money, or even buy them food. It just turns them into career beggars. If they cannot beg, they will be forced to be useful and learn some simple trade like cleaning, auto driving, street sweeper. I personally know so many of these kids who became professional beggars, because of misguided westerner's "donations."

Grader working to provide a completely clean roadside for us.

Finally cleaned out my purse. I like to keep lots and lots of stuff with me at all times, as you can see!

Cleaning supply bottles of various types all for the dreaded job of cleaning

Like a dentist filling a cavity, I first drilled out the cavities to create a pocket for brass fillings. I also noticed one of the stay caps wasn't completely brazed shut, common for bike boom era Raleighs. The upper tip of the Nervex seat lug wasn't filled either. A bit of flux, Harris 56 silver wire, fixed.

Would this have been an issue? Maybe not, lots of vintage bikes being ridden with these issues. Paint can hide a lot.

Well, the workspace is clear, anyway! Actually, it's in a very productive type of clean. :)

e ancora continua a vibrare.

I would so love to see Tammy standing in front of this in 1830's clothing! Maybe that will be a future diorama. I need to get back to sewing.

The pot on the left contains the wool, warm water, and ammonia to clean it. The pot on the right is the hot water source and the big metal pan of water on the ground (far left) is the source of cold water. Cannot let the wool water get too hot or it will felt the wool fibers -- no yarn! The big basket on the ground contains clean wool.

The ammonia originally came from fermented human urine! Those must have been stinky times!

It`s been a while since I`ve had chance to clean the car but todays weather was ok so I decided to dig out the pressure washer and get all the grime off ! It`s due an 85,00 service shorty too before I have to hand it back in late August.
