Resident Class 31 D5631 approaches Dead Man's Hill on the North Norfolk Railway, with the 1400 Sheringham to Holt demonstration goods train - 06/04/2024.

Another enjoyable day spent back up at the North Norfolk Railway, this time for the 60th Anniversary of Closure event.

This train was my number one photographic target of the day, as I had never seen the demonstration goods train in action before.

I didn't think I had much chance of a sunny shot to be honest, as the cloud cover proved to be very stubborn to clear on this visit to the North Norfolk coast. However, I did get a bit of weak sun at this spot, just as the train passed by.

A Class 135 fire truck I designed over the holidays. Pictures of the model to follow when the final pieces arrive.

A Southern class 171 formation arrives at Crowborough, with the 16.33 Uckfield to London Bridge service. Some snow from earlier in the week has still not thawed during the current cold snap.

Very much a spur of the moment shot after spotting the puddle on the platform when returning from 'The Wheatsheaf' pub. Inspiration aided by three and a half pints of 'Harvey's Best' in the aforementioned pub!

With its LNER apple green livery long since removed, 47522 “Doncaster Enterprise” now sports parcels red livery as it passes Tanyard Bay, Parton on 17 September 1994 with a Carlisle – Sellafield flask train.

At this time barrier wagons were still used and in this case they were redundant HEA 13.2te coal hoppers, of which there are four in this train. However the second, third and eighth wagons have had their hopper structures removed to create the first bespoke barrier wagons. This work was carried out by Currock wagon repair depot at Carlisle, the new 11.5te flat wagon's TOPS designation changing to RNA.

Model is my amazing friend Rob Woodcox.

This was taken during my trip to Detroit in July, we spent the afternoon exploring St.Agnes school and when we came to this large room with the chair in the corner, I knew that Rob and his wonderful outfit would be the perfect match for my concept.

I wish I could have spent a whole week in Detroit exploring all the amazing locations that we saw while we drove around the city.

In the twilight of their career I was fortunate to get a pair of Gloucester Carriage & Wagon Company built two-car Class 100 diesel multiple units sit at Blaenau Ffestiniog on 12 August 1983.

We were fortunate to ride down from Llaundudno on these. One of the sets was formed of 50356/56111 which I had seen sandwiched between a pair of Class 101 sets on North Wales Coast services a few days earlier.
