Ok I promise this is the last one (for now LOL), in this one I really think it looks like a sink plug hole, which has given me more ideas for vanishing points but hey that week is finished so I will move on.... :o)

Driving home from church this evening I was awe struck by the Moon hanging low in the eastern sky, it was so large and so bright. I had to wait a couple of hours for the Moon to be visible from my house and then I was able to capture it in a clear sky. This is one of the pictures I managed to record. At this point the Moon was about 97% illuminated. Weather conditions permitting it could be a long night tomorrow night watching the lunar eclipse, the coffee is arranged and the deck chair dusted down so l hope I will be able to capture this special event.

hated by some because of the connotations of governmental mismanagenent, corruption and greed. almost all of us really hate the intrusion of these galvanised, assembled steel structures. alien like, scattered across the surface of the earth. scarring the landscape, 'an ugly necessity' someone said: energy needed, wanted by the people and that life supporting necessity exploited by others
reminds me of the meccano set i was given as a child. there's beauty within these gentle soulless giants
under the silver coloured structure, positioning, to find almost perfect symmetry. on my back, at peace, in some strange space. hum of the electrical current overhead, wind howling, aluminium cables slightly swaying
then i get up and realise people are staring at me
Circular Quay is a major Sydney transport hub, with a large ferry, rail and bus interchange. The Cahill Expressway is a prominent feature of the quay, running from the east, over the elevated railway station to join the Sydney Harbour Bridge in the west.
Circular Quay was formerly a large tram terminus and interchange. As many Sydney bus routes follow the previous tram lines, the tram terminus has become a major bus terminus for many bus routes.[3]
The railway station is the only station on the City Circle that is above ground. Additionally it is said to offer the best views of any CityRail railway station, as the platform looks out over (and is open to) the ferry terminus.
The wharf complex hosts five commuter ferry wharves and is the terminus for all public ferry routes in Sydney Harbour and the Parramatta River.
El rol de los recuperadores para reciclar, separar y extender la vida útil de los residuos es clave para que Colombia siga avanzando en el modelo de economía circular, por lo que la formalización de asociaciones de recicladores será esencial en el Gobierno del presidente Gustavo Petro.
Así lo afirmó la ministra de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible, Susana Muhamad, durante la agenda que cumplió ayer domingo junto a la ministra de Desarrollo Económico y Cooperación de Alemania, Svejan Schulze, y la nueva embajadora de ese país en Colombia, Marian Schuegraf.
Desde el Laboratorio de Economía Circular del SENA, construido con apoyo de la cooperación alemana GIZ, la ministra Muhamad anunció que los recicladores tendrán apoyo económico.
“Vamos a trabajar en la formalización de las asociaciones de recicladores y su fortalecimiento a partir de los programas del Gobierno Nacional, con la economía popular y el crédito, porque necesitan maquinaria y formalización”, enfatizó la ministra.
Muhamad agregó que este trabajo se hará con los cooperantes internacionales, para “fortalecer la capacidad de municipios que no pueden manejar sus propios residuos, para que no tengan que llevarlos a un relleno sanitario lejano, lo cual baja las tarifas”.
Separación de materiales, clave
Por su parte, Myriam Morales, madre de tres hijos, con más de 20 años como recicladora y quien estuvo en el diálogo con la ministra, indicó que su labor es recuperar los materiales para minimizar aquellos que llegan al relleno, y facilitar su procesamiento con el fin de que ingresen a la cadena.
“La idea es recuperar todos los materiales que podamos, ya que en un 90 % son reutilizables; esto se hace con una excelente separación”, explicó Morales.
En ese sentido, la ministra Muhamad también anunció que se estudiará la viabilidad de entregar incentivos a los ciudadanos que reciclen y que ayuden a disminuir el volumen de residuos que llega a los rellenos sanitarios.
Cooperación internacional, fundamental para Colombia
La ministra Svejan Schulze, en su primer viaje a Latinoamérica, destacó la infraestructura del Laboratorio de Economía Circular, así como la visión de su homóloga colombiana de avanzar en procesos circulares integrales.
“Es importante dejar de producir desechos; tenemos que pensar ahora circularmente, sobre todo, en la parte de plásticos. Además, tenemos que pensar en los recicladores, que la gran mayoría son mujeres, brindándoles un mejor trabajo con una mejor remuneración”, afirmó la ministra alemana.
En el laboratorio, el primero de su tipo en Colombia, se certificarán 2000 recicladores al año, aproximadamente. “Se está dando innovación en el SENA. Es importante capacitar para generar círculos que brinden bienestar social, justicia ambiental, pero, sobre todo, capacidades ciudadanas para el reciclaje”, señaló Muhamad.
Fortalecer una ruta entre todos
El encuentro sirvió para conocer cómo avanza la cooperación de ambos países a través del Proyecto Empleos Verdes de la Economía Circular (Prevec), un trabajo articulado entre los sectores público, privado, la población recicladora y la cooperación internacional, con el fin de fortalecer la ruta hacia una economía circular que priorice la vida y el medio ambiente.
Participaron también en la jornada el subdirector del Centro de Gestión Industrial del SENA, Fabio Hernández; la vicepresidenta de la empresa Essentia, Jessica MacMaster, y el director de Gestión Ambiental de la Secretaría de Ambiente de Bogotá, Diego Rubio, entre otras personas. / Ago. 21, 2022. Glass ball on plastic CD case. Photographed with CP (circular polarizer) filter. The effect of the lighting is from a laptop lcd monitor displaying a plain white image. The filter brings out these amazing colours and but shows the lcd as black! It is best to raise th subject a few inches above the LCD to prevent the pixels from being obvious.
Circular Quay is a CityRail station located in Sydney, Australia and is situated on the City Circle line. The station is elevated with the elevated Cahill Expressway roadway directly above it, and lies directly behind the Circular Quay ferry terminals from which services operate to a number of locations around Port Jackson (Sydney Harbour). The area is also the terminus for a number of bus services. Circular Quay is the nearest railway station to the Sydney Opera House and The Rocks area of Sydney.
