Castlerigg Stone Circle sits quite high up in the Lake District. I wouldn't have said it's the easiest place to photograph... or at least I didn't think it was in the short time I had on this sunny day. I like the shot the best though.

Located on Academy Street in Barnwell

It was built in 1848 as the Presbyterian Church. It served as the Barnwell County Courthouse from 1865-69 and 1874-78. It currently houses the Circle Theatre.

Washing machine door in a laundrette near my house - I love the retro steel of these things, I think they might be quite old...

Made and uploaded for the curves contest in The Challenge Club. More messing about with dvd-discs and sunlight, probably should have dusted off the disc first :-)

I had stored some strawberry plants on mesh with newspaper underneath for insulation over the winter. This was how the mesh looked after moving them to tidy them up.

The stone circle is aligned with the rising sun at the Summer Solstice so on that morning the sun shines down directly in the center of the circle. The entrance stones are matched by a pair of equally impressive slabs on the southwest side, whose tops slope down towards each other to form a v-shape.
