Raleigh Chopper Bike - a common bike in my youth, together with the Mini Bike. Later, I made a hobby restoring them. A bike shop in Balestier actually chromed a full one for a customer.
Preserved English Electric Type 1 'Chopper' diesel locomotive D8059 (British Rail Class 20, 20059) at Sheringham Station on the North Norfolk Railway in Norfolk (UK) and The Weybourne Traction Group's Summer Diesel Gala on June 14th 2014.
D8059 was built at the Hawthorn Works Darlington in 1961.
D8059 was one of the special guest visitor locomotives for the gala from the Seven Valley Railway although its stablemate D8188 was unable to make the trip due to mechanical difficulties.
This single cabbed locomotive is immaculate inside and out an a credit to the team who look after it at the Severn Valley Railway.
The English Electric Type 1 Class 20 locomotives which were first introduced in 1957 are one of the most enduring first generation diesels built with at least 16 units still in service on the network mainly with Direct Rail Services (DRS) in June 2014.
