The Silver Chopper

(Summer 2001)

Inspired by my own much larger chopper, we built The Silver Chopper so that the shorter kids in the club would have a chopper to ride too. The extended forks were built from an assembly of three old forks, and we modified the frame to lower the seat & to move the pedals forward several inches. The wheel-disks are mat board, covered with aluminum duct tape.

This Chopper has a sidecar and is a very nice " Machine ". Look closely and you will notice that there is a Wheelchair in the sidecar. A Disabled Rider perhaps? Daytona Beach,FLA. U.S.A. 2003

They used this Helicopter to put the HVAC units on top of the Outlet Mall that is being built near my Job.

I saw this one on May 17th, 2008, at a Shell petrol station in Hannover. I asked the owner if I could take a picture. Unfortunately, he did not want to be in the picture. He was pretty nice - but also pretty huge... like, well, a guy that rides a Harley Chopper... just like in the movies. :-)

He explained to me that this kind of chopper is actually called "Swedish Chopper".

I revisited this chopper, whose first iteration was built in 2014 with parts of my pre-dark age collection.
