October 27, 2016 - The Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate partnered with WGBH to present The Citizens' Choice: Raising the Cap on Charter Schools. This panel discussion explored both sides of Question 2 on the 2016 Massachusetts ballot, attempting to answer the question: would raising the cap on charter schools affect Massachusetts for better or for worse?
Jim Braude, host of WGBH’s Greater Boston moderated this panel discussion featuring Jessica Tang, Boston Teachers Union Director of Organizing; Chris Gabrieli, Chairman and CEO of Empower Schools, Chairman of the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education, and lecturer at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education; Michael Curry, President of the Boston branch of the NAACP; and Marty Walz, former Massachusetts State Representative and Principal at Marty Walz and Associates.
I took this photo with my phone camera, to edit it I increased contrast and highlights and decreased shadows and exposure, I chose this photo because I like the contrast of the sun shining in and the shadows.
Gathering wood. Although some houses have electricity, villagers can't afford it so they must rely on wood for heat and cooking.
This is the hard part for me. Went to the design center to see the samples and there were hundreds!!! The gal there was helpful in narrowing it down. So, we're down to these few stones, which will be the facing on the wall. So, beyond the colors of the stones, we also have to choose, flagstone cut, cut tile cut, tumbled flag, stacked stone.... then we can pick another one to cap the wall. I'm sure I want the quartzite to cap the wall, as it is really smooth and won't hurt waterlogged hands and feet.
Urgh, the choices are endless!!!
The tile , whichever we choose, will be at the water line all around the pool.
I think I made the right one.
