Okay I am now 3 days in. Yesterday was pretty tough. Not only was I extremely hungry, but I had a caffeine headache that kept screaming at me. I actually felt more hungry yesterday than the day prior too. I've discovered that naps do help, but if you're not tired, just the mere fact of laying down does help!
I have found that all my Flickr friends have a good approval for my participation in Ramadan. I find it admirable that there are so many open minded people. I guess this is why you all are my Flickr friends! So thank you all for your comments and support. I have made a big decision. Matt and I discussed this last night. Today I woke up feeling pretty good. I only had a light appetite. I didn't overeat last night and I feel better this morning. Maybe, it being my birthday today may also have something to do with it! I'm 26 years old today! ^_^

The only ethnic thing about tonights dinner were the spices. It's a simple dish consisting of sour cream, shrimp, curry spice and saffron spice. Mix it all together and you get curry sauce. I molded the rice from japanese rice molds.
The only thing I wish I would have done different (and might try next time) is arrange the shrimp in a spiral fashon on top of the rice. I think one rice mould would have also been sufficient.
Ingredients:
12 radishes (about 1 in. wide)
1/4 cup crème fraîche or sour cream
1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1 tablespoons of Caviar (red lumpfish roe)
1 tablespoons Black Truffle mix (minced black truffle, minced mushrooms, olive oil & a dash of salt)
Preparation:
1. Trim stems and root ends off radishes; rinse well, and cut in half crosswise. To make each half sit flat, trim off rounded end. If crème fraîche or sour cream is runny, use a small melon baller to scoop out centers of radishes, making depressions to hold filling; if crème fraîche is thick, leave radish halves flat.
2. In a bowl, mix crème fraîche and lemon peel and juice. Add salt to taste.
3. Top or fill radish cups equally with crème fraîche mixture (about 1/2 teaspoon in each), then top equally with caviar or black truffle (a scant 1/4 teaspoon on each). Arrange on a platter.
Makes 24 appetizers; about 12 servings

he looks like he's about to strangle my daughter. in fact they were getting hella deep in a Skyrim conversation.
We finally decorated our Christmas tree. This year I went for a primarily silver and white Christmas tree with a splash of red and deep navy blue. The end result was far better looking than what I had in my head at the beginning.
On a side note, I've just completed my first week P90X. It kicked my little but. I thought it would have been best start it before the new year because I would stick with it more. 10 more weeks to go! I can do it! Ha, ha, ha! *ouch it hurts to laugh. ^_^

The game of the evening was to be a variant of beer pong called "Civil War," so I thought some costumes were in order.
When in Rome, do as Romans do. So we went to a rugby game, drank beer, played Left for Dead, went and ate delicious gourmet pizzas and cocktails at half price, went to a bar to party with all of the rugby teams, drank pitchers of beer, went back to his house and played beer pong with a few dozen folk, played more Left for Dead, escorted a couple of wobbling kids home safely, strolled back through a few drops of rain at 3:30 in the morning, and drank beer and watched the Raiders win their game today.
Fun fact: I had never played beer pong before.
