Photographed in Sheldon, IA. This is a very rare vehicle, I have never seen another delivery van like it anywhere else, not even a picture of one. This is a 1958-1961 Chevy Apache 32 based Forward Control step van. It took me ages to identify this truck because the body was built by a small manufacturer called General (no relation to GM/General Motors).
Chevrolet Forward Control vans could be purchased with bodies from several different builders. I believe General in old Chevy brochures refers to General Truck Body a company that still exists and has been around since 1919. Lighter duty Chevy 10 through 40 trucks kept the Apache designation from 1958-1961. Starting in 1962 Chevy pickups & commercial trucks became known as the C/K series. The gaudy white paint around the edges of this one was done by the owner and is not standard on these vans.
I wonder what they do here, when they're not talking 'bout girls, talking 'bout trucks, and runnin' those red dirt roads out, kickin' up dust?

This is a Chevy Advance Design pickup that somebody has added this lovely nostalgic touch to. Makes you wish their was a Bella's in every town. This is 3 exposures with -1+ stops bracketing, then Photomatix for HDR and tonemapping, and finally Photoshop for the finishing touches.
Moto-meter temperature gauge, 1928 Chevrolet pickup truck, Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Event, Scottsdale, Arizona. (See previous post.)
Taken at the Village Green car show at Village Green Park in Fairfield, Ohio.
When I walked by this truck, it smelled like it had just been painted. The owner told me that was the case. Unfortunately this shot doesn't do justice to the yellow part which is an impressive metal flake job.
I thought I'd try the Photoshop Poster Edges effect on some of my past pictures, it doesn't work with all of them but I do like what it's done to this one of a Chevrolet Advance Design pickup, here's the original www.flickr.com/photos/84768790@N05/7983555196/in/set-7215... This is 3 exposures with -1+ stops bracketing, then Photomatix for HDR and tonemapping, and finally Photoshop for the finishing touches!
Tim on his Harley Davidson. In the back grown is his old pick-up truck (it was his father's truck when he was a kid)
This is a Chevrolet C10 Pickup and is a selective colour version of this picture www.flickr.com/photos/84768790@N05/9608513446/in/set-7215... It was taken at the Stonham Barns Classic Car Show. This is 3 exposures with -1+ stops bracketing, then Photomatix for HDR and tonemaping treatment, and finally Photoshop for the finishing touches.

I know hay is for horses, but other than maybe building a maze out of the bales, I don't know what else you do with it.
For whatever reason, they're lugging a lot of it around.

65 or 66 Chevy pickup caught in the wild. I'm not sure exactly what year this truck is. If you do, please share it.
While two Chevy Silverado pick-ups are creeping along beside one another, there doesn't seem to be much progress, but at least traffic is moving.

This classic light duty recovery truck is a 1983-1986 Chevrolet C/K Series K30 or a 1987-1988 Chevy R/V Series V30. I photographed this California style tow truck in Olympia, WA a few years ago. This repair shop is now out of business.
This loose club doesn't have a lot of rules; as long as you're not afraid to roll dirty, and you've got the tires for it... you're in.
