Milwaukee Road 85A powers their short train up to the 20mph track speed in no time. SOO 712 will be on the move shortly, headed for a quick tie-up. Southern Wisconsin mid 1980s.
This was one of my entries for the Lego Ideas Vintage car building challenge, that I now built in real bricks. You can easy see, that I was mainly inspired by the Chevy Advance. As a participant of the contest I wasn't allowed to completely rebuild the truck. Since this was third person ID, it would have been against the rules.
Of course I made some slight changes to the digital model, especially regarding the wheels. But above all I finally replaced the guitar of the guy in the back of the truck with a banjo, which fits much more the style of the car.
Update: Building instructions available at rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-59572/

The longest built Chevy pickup, The basic body was built from 1973 till 1987. This one is from the mid '80s. Happy Truck Thursday!
This beautiful old 41 Chevy is yard art in front of a Winery in South Dakota. We encountered it on a recent trip to South Dakota and I stopped to snap a picture. I wanted to get a view from the front to highlight the grill but it was parked on the edge of a steep ditch so that was out...sometimes you take what the scene gives you. I still like this shot and it shows the beautiful lines of this wonderful survivor. Image captured with my Rollieflex 4x4 on Reflx 100 film. Self-developed with CineStill's C41 kit.
A customised bright yellow 1969 Chevrolet C-10 ½-Ton, 2-Door, 2-3-Passenger, SWB “Stepside” Short-Bed Pickup Truck; age-related registration on vintage-style black plate; “UBD 960G”. Fitted W/ a 5.7-Litre, 350-CID V8 (possibly original or retrofit?). Imported to the U.K. in early 2021.
Spotted in the town of York, U.K.
This old Chevy is at Manning's Used Tires, Auto Sales, and Sheds. I've done business with them for about 10 years and have always found them to be fair, honest, and friendly. They love old Chevys and joke about Ford. They're on Gillespie Street, U.S. 301, Interstate Business 95 in Fayetteville, North Carolina in Cumberland County.
Cool looking rusty old Chevy Pick-up!! Found this on the side of the road while in Caryville, TN last week.

This will hopefully give you an idea of what I go through in order to strobe a vehicle. Later I take all the images and combine/stack/blend (whatever you want to call it) inside of Photoshop using the "LIGHTEN" blend mode. The final image to follow shortly...

A 1969 Cougar Eliminator arrives for some work at Joe's garage. The colors of the Merc compliment those of the 267. Joe, who runs the service garage on the west side of Hamilton, Wi, enjoys having all the hot rodders congregate and share some good times and probably more that a few beers.
A couple of kids out enjoying the snow on their Flexible Flyers welcome the opportunity to see the inside of a locomotive. And maybe a chance to warm up as well.
I see this truck all the time, original patina, chevy retro vintage coolness in one photo. 100% need to catch the owner and do some kind of shoot with this.
After living in Fond du Lac for several years, my parents bought a home in Waupun so my father would be closer to his employer. Here we see moving day and the removal of a avocado fridge and delivery of a more conservative white model to better suit my mothers tastes. After a long day of work both parents are about to sit down for a much deserved beer. Of course my mother has already hung her plants in the front window in her own macrame hangers that were all the rage at the time. (The garage door is in the back as the house was on a corner lot on a cul-de-sac.)
