Chengdu Jinli Street - Sichuan - China
2 girls under an umbrella in Jinli street (black and white).
Jinli Ancient Street (锦里) is 350 meters long and is located next to Wuhou Temple and is a must-see location in Chengdu, China. It was rebuilt in 2004 from a dynastic-era street in ancient China. Now, it's a touristic location with many shops, snacks and an Opera. For photographers, it's a condensed aera of traditional chinese culture and must be on your spots-list in Chengdu (even if it's sometimes really crowdy...). The entry is free except during special events (like the lantern festival).

Chengdu railway station is in The 3rd part 2nd Ring road,Jinniu district Chengdu city. It has 5 platfoms and 9 lines.
Another photo from my trip to Chengdu, China: games involving either cards or dice were very common sights. My hosts told me that compared to other large cities in China, the people of Chengdu were known for taking life a little bit more slowly and enjoyably.

Taken in the peoples park Chengdu, China. I just love the way the guy Wass stuffing the food into his mouth before even finding a table to sit at to eat his lunch.
Today's story and sketch "by me" we are in Chengdu China, at check point nine, of the "EBRA" Earth Blimp Racing Associations, Around the Earth Once Blimp Race. Checkpoint nine is the home of the "Ching Too Foo Moon Pie",
and the sponsor of team "Ching Too Foo blimp 33" you see in today's sketch, which is flying illegally under the race officials minimum altitude, just behind race official, Dwang Gofish in his Hooundi Glider, but we did get an official
call over the loud speakers, they were OK over this spectator area, team 33 are throwing Too Foo moon pies to their fans below. The Ching Too Foo Moon Pies are a regional favorite in this area of China, they are a strange one, made from Too Foo and spiced with a pepper sauce made from the (Oshite Pepper) that is one of the most dangerous ingredients
found in any Moon Pie at this end of the Galaxy, (but that is a story for another time).
Team Too Foo when they are not Blimp racing are known through out China as the "Too Foo Cavaliers" a Progressive
Jazz band, who dress as Sumo Wrestlers, and perform only wearing an adult Depends, quite a sight to see in person,
(the average band members weight, of which there are twenty two is three hundred twenty pounds) big boys for sure.
They have sold over twenty seven million albums this year. Their albums are available at Amazon Music.
Till next time taa ta the Rod Blog.
