This morning started early with a trip to see the doctor in Aledo. Emily finally forced me to schedule a checkup after being on some new drugs for a few weeks, and she even came with me to ask any questions I might have forgotten to ask. The appointment went just fine, but my mom showed up somewhat coincidentally while we were there–she had to work out some insurance drama with the office staff. No big.
That’s when things got interesting.
My parents all set to leave on a Tesla road trip this afternoon, and while we were all at the doctor together, my mom casually invited us to come along. Since today is Thursday, and they won’t be back until late Tuesday, I shrugged it off. But then when I looked over at Emily and realized that it might actually be a possibility. Long story short, we’re at a hotel in Huntsville right now, and we’ll be in Gulf Shores tomorrow evening. I’d just like to quickly express my immense appreciation for the amazing work situation I have right now. The flexibility of this gig is one of its biggest perks.
It’s time for a Tesla roadtrip, y’all!
She married at the age of 17 and got pregnant. She had no antenatal care throughout her first and second pregnancy, which led to the dealth of her babies. After advice from Plan Bangladesh's community nutrition worker, she went for regular antenatal checkups at her local family welfare centre. Now she is the mother of a healthy son.
“I lost two children purely through ignorance. I don’t want any other woman to suffer what I have suffered," said Farida.
It was time for the kid's dental checkups this morning. It seems the practice recently (flic.kr/p/dLjujG) has paid off and they were all fantastic. No fillings and a clean bill of health for them all.
Once in a while the elephants in the San Diego Zoo need to have their feet checked. Walking on hard surfaces like concrete is damaging to the bottoms of Elephant feet. Here, for a few leafs of Romaine lettuce, this Pachyderm has been trained to present his foot for inspection.
Got a checkup today. Tetanus shot update, since I probably needed it. I wish I still went to the pediatrician, so I could have a cute bandaid.
Leo and Stella were the next Cat Hill Farm cats to go for their checkups.
As you can see here, Leo is not phased at all, and cooperates nicely for Dr. Feaster.
He says "Going to the doctor's ain't no thang!"
Leo is doing great, he even lost a pound since his last checkup.
I'll bet that's because he get's more exercise since Floydd has been his companion outside. I see them chasing each other and playing all the time now.
This is a great time of year to perform a homeowners insurance checkup based on recent changes in your life and your home.
My Baby had her checkup and blood work this evening.....she has a number
of problems that old cats tend to get.....the vet also heard some strange noise
in her breathing, and her little heart is beating too fast. The main problem is her
severe weight loss....she is only 5.3 pounds now:( She is eating very well, but
almost always hungry. She eats a full can of Natural Balance LID food, and has
a bowl of dry NB out all day to snack on.At least the vet (who was a very kind lady)
said she was well hydrated and her kidneys seem good. She thinks her symptoms
are pointing to hyperthyroidism.....which is what I suspected. At least she does not
think it is diabetes, which was one of my fears, or kidney disease. If it is her thyroid
then at least I can give her pills to help. My Mom has had a lot of experience with this condition
with her cats also. I don't get the test results until tomorrow at the soonest....I just pray
she is going to be OK. I felt so bad when they had to take her away from me when
they had to do the blood draw. She had the saddest expression in her eyes as she looked
at me when she was being carried away:(Before they took her started to cry, and gave her
a kiss, and told her I love her, and that she would be OK. I can't imagine my life without
her....she is a huge part of me......I have to try and stay strong for her. I will give a update
here when I get the results....thank you.....especially all of my cherished contacts and friends
on Flickr....for your concern. It means a great deal to me:)

Old building for general baby medical checkup, part of Bandung's main hospital, Hasan Sadikin, seems left unmaintained on Jalan Tamblong, Bandung.
After a short but fierce struggle our little girl passed away last night.
5 weeks ago everything seemed allright, the annual checkup was good: blood and urine were fine, her heart and lungs performed like a 4yr old.
But 2 weeks ago she suddenly stopped eating and lost weight at an alarming rate. The vet found a big tumor between her kidneys, the scan next day revealed gastrointestinal lymphoma (dutch: alimentair lymfoom)
Prognosis was really bad...
Last night was final, she was so weak and could bearly move around. She had not been eating for 5 days now and we felt this could not go on for much longer. But, as weakened as she was, she put up an epic battle before the light in her eyes finally died. It was the right thing to do but relieving her of her misery was the hardest thing I`ve ever done...
Layla was 16yrs and today (20th of july) she would be with us for exactly 11 years. Sweet dreams, Little Girl. Hope everything is allright now. We gonna miss you so much...
No irregularity found.
I have lung cancer checks once or twice a year at the local lung hospital. They have the latest Toshiba Aquillion One CT scanner, installed the week before my test, that takes 64 slices (photos) of my chest.
Finding affordable medical and dental insurance plans can be as difficult as it is necessary. But it doesn't have to be if you know where to get cheap insurance protection with top-rated companies.
Start Out With Regular Checkups
Your family's overall health hinges on everyone getting regular check-ups so that problems can be treated when they're small and less costly This is the first thing you can do to lower your expenses..
Look at Your Options
If your employer has health care insurance , participating in that policy will likely be your cheapest option.
Alternatively, you may be self-employed or unemployed. Would that mean you have to give up on having low-cost health insurance? Fortunately, the answer is no. You have still got several options available .
One option is to find a group that you can buy insurance through, such as a professional organization or a credit union. Like businesses, groups benefit from lower rates because the risk is spread out over more people.
Another choice would be to buy your own individual or family plan. Even though this option is often pricey, you'll be able to lower your costs in numerous ways.
Reducing Your Costs
Raise Your Co-Pay And Deductible
If you're healthy, don't suffer any kind of pre-existing conditions, and don't see your medical doctor that often, consider increasing your co-pay and deductible. Increasing the amount of your co-pay and deductible will drastically decrease the amount you spend for your premiums.
Purchase An HMO Or PPO
A great way to lower your costs will be to choose an HMO or a PPO plan. With one of these types of plans, you pay lower prices in exchange for picking a health care provider from a specified list.
Purchase a Major Medical Plan
The cheapest of the comprehensive health care plans is a Major Medical plan which takes care of your hospital bills, but will not pay for visits to your doctor or your prescription drugs.
Compare Rates
The best way to lower your costs would be to search for a policy from an insurance comparison site. On one of these kinds of websites, you fill out a simple form with information about yourself and your insurance needs. Once you submit the form, you'll get price quotes from multiple companies.
Using a comparison website, you can quickly and easily compare and contrast price quotes between several companies and opt for the least expensive plan that meets your needs. You'll get price quotes for traditional health plans as well as HMOs, PPOs, and Major Medical plans
It only takes a few moments of your time to get your price quotes, it's free, and, believe me, the time you spend will be well worth your while.

The Hill’s U.S. Healthcare’s Annual Checkup at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. on December 7, 2023. (Eric Lee/The Hill)
At her 3 yr checkup, the doctor made a comment about how long her hair is, and asked Eleanore if we ever cut her hair, of it if stayed long. She said that we cut it, because I've trimmed her bangs (which we're growing out now) and given her a trim a time or two... or, only once...
I ask myself daily if we should cut a few inches off, but...
