A little girl playing chess on Union Square with an adult male. Looks like her grandpa was giving some advice. I wonder who won....

Bunting for today x
I went to the beach on a photography outing with M&M today. We had a breezy walk and took lots of photos, a nice lunch and a lovely chat but I didn't get any photos I was very pleased with. We had joked over lunch that I had my emergency bunting with me.....I got it out on the barbed wire fence before we came home! Hehe! So I guess the title for this should be barbed wire bunting xx

Street photography is not about streets. It's mostly about the correlations between humans and the environment. Between humans and other humans and other living creatures. How we function in society, how we stand, how we act, mainly how we act without being aware that we are being seen.

It has been a month since we drove out to the work horse farm, we will try and make a drive this week and see how the two foals have grown. King and Diamond should have changed and we know the Freddie Mac, Thor, and Prince have left for their new homes. The county fair is over for the year, last week was hectic with a lot of company and entering and working the photo exhibit. There was over 300 entries in the different photo classes.

The Sushi Bar 4
Saigon, Vietnam
I think that's pretty cheap for 3 people when compared to US prices for a sit-down sushi place where you order mostly nigiri.

Yet another shot from the cutting room floor. What can I say, I just don't have many winners from my October 2010 trip, so it's a challenge each day to find a shot to post. Like my fireworks shot from Friday however, despite all the flaws in this photo something about it kept me from hitting the delete button. While not a terribly compelling photo, it still managed to freeze another one of those Disney moment's where your heart beats in your chest - albeit this time for completely different reasons.
Disney fans will recognize the location, and the more adventurous ones amongst us will instantly relate to the guy on the right - arms up, ready for the drop.
1/10 sec at f/2.8, ISO 12800
10mm (Sigma 10mm Fisheye)
This shot was edited exclusively in Lightroom. I thought about trying to salvage it by extremes, but ended up just keeping it close to it's OOC state. I did some tone adjustments, added fill light (need to remember not to overdue it here)and a slight exposure bump. Then it was some back and forth on the contrast as well as knocking down the saturation of the blue light hitting everyone's faces.
Again, not a stellar shot, but when I look at it I'm instantly transported to that split second in time, and for that it's a keeper for me :)
Appreciate any comments, feedback, advice & critiques.
thanks
