An emergency call sent an army of aerial, resuce and pumper fire trucks, as well as ambulances and the police to Coxwell subway station.

Photo taken on 2006-05-31. I never heard anything about what the emergency was though.

I love the contrast between the attractive young lady in a nice summer dress and the guy in his rugby kit. Taken at the recent Caldy 7's tournament.

I decided the weather was cool enough for me to break out my ghillie suit. I tried it in the back yard at my squirrel feeder and had a great time with a squirrel that was about 15 feet away checking out this "new bush" that was near its feeder. For several minutes it just laid on the branch, watching me before deciding the bush was no threat. I got some great pictures that way :).

December Photography Class:

Lovely Lizards will be hosting a 2-Day photography class, taught by Lovely Lizards Photographer, Roger Reetz. The class will be an intensive 10-12 hour study, starting with “this is a camera” and covering such topics as composition, portraits, nature photography, existing light photography, landscapes, going manual, wildlife photography, photo editing apps, and much more. It will be beneficial for both “Point and Shoot” and DSLR camera owners but will have a heavy focus on using a DSLR camera. Weather permitting; we will also get some hands on practice with taking pictures outdoors.

The course will be held at the Orange Beach Golf Center on Canal Road, on Saturday, December 5, from 9-4ish and Sunday December 6, from 1-8ish. The cost of the class is $75 (check or cash). We will break for lunch on Saturday, but please bring a bag lunch for Sunday. For more information or to register for the class, please email Roger at rkreetz@gulftel.com.

Please help spread the word ;).

A few friends came round the other evening to help me practice with my studio setup and lighting that I've managed to put together in my garage.

With them came these slightly freakish morph suits hehe, so I thought why not... lets see what I can do with them :)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Model: Reece

Strobist setup: Canon 550ex softbox camera right aimed across body, Canon 580ex2 softbox camera left aimed at head, Canon 550ex softbox aimed at background.

All triggered by Canon 7D in built flash trigger system.

Editing: Slight play with the contrast in Aperture 3 & that is it :)

Doing portraits is all new to me, but its something I've wanted to do for a long long time so please any feedback would be great, if I'm doing something hugely wrong then let me know :D

Farringdon 3 Corners

Strawberry Shortcake, Blueberry Muffin, and Lemon Meringue check on the eggs in the nest.

These are foam eggs I hot glued into this nest that fell from a tree a few years ago. I use it as a porch decoration with my birdhouses.

No time for setting up anything for dolls and these girls were handy so decided to snap a few pics on the porch.

These dolls are my childhood toy replacements. I played with all 3 extensively as a kid. Happy memories. I love their chunky feet and rubbery shoes and they still smell good. :)

When I got word that the TC&W was back out to Wood Lake to get more sand cars from storage, I headed over in the late morning to check out what work they were doing. I arrived to find them getting started by running one of the locomotives into the elevator track to check things out before they began sorting cars. Here, they've put the power back together as a couple crew members examine the fragile track.

Day 243 - Car check

Oliver was shopping today with Annika. In the meantime I've brought my car out of the garage. Tomorrow I want to look again into my geocache. If it's not too much rain, I can drive with my cool car :)

Please check: 365.olivertotzke.de for the complete project and leave a comment there!

A spin on the 2010 Pirelli Tyre Calender shoot - 'Fred with Tyres', or 'Tires' if you are american. Part of the YZ465 restoration project hence motorbike tyres (Michelin AC10's). Had great fun doing this...lots of laughter. Thanks to Motoxmanix in Bridgend for loan of tyres.

BTW...do you like the play on words in the title....Tyres - Michelin & Tyres - body rolls. I have to credit my wife Leanne with the title.

My fake $2100 cashier's check

Long time followers might remember that "Sara Leigey" offered to pay me $2150 for a bike I listed on Craigslist for $400. She's busy because she's a US Marine in Utah (?)

True to her word, she FedExed this cashier's check to me immediately. Return address was "Keebler Co, 4720 Waverly Rd, Huntington WV 25704" (likely not the real sending address on the customer-printed label).

The pickup address I gave to the shipper was the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office, 70 West Hedding Street, San Jose CA 95110.

"Sara Gurley" responded with a couple of poorly spelled email threatening legal action against me. I ignored them.

Trolling this scammer was just done on a whim. If I do this again I'll likely use a fake name. How does Eric Holder sound?

May 26th. Back View. You can there is still a bit of a "muffin top" that needs to be firmed up. And arching in back is a sign of back/ab imbalance.

Thought I would check in with everyone since it's been awhile from my last posting. I met up with my buddy Ryan in Northern Vietnam and we've been travelling together for the last little bit.

I'm working on a street photography project here and I won't be posting any of those photos until I get back to Canada to sort through them. It's exciting and has rejuvenated my love of shooting street. Back to basics.
