The first ARM Mobile Facility (AMF1) was deployed downwind of the city of Manaus, Brazil near Manacapuru from January 2014 to November 2015 for the Observations and Modeling of the Green Ocean Amazon (GoAmazon2014/15) field campaign. This cruise ship was anchored in an inlet near Sitka, Alaska, instead of at the dock. They looked like they were lightering passengers into town, but something else may have been going on. In any case, it seemed a bit unusual to me to see it here instead of at the dock.
