Spring is here. The weather is perfect for the garden. Everything is looking so green. Feels wonderful to be out enjoying it.

Earlier today Laura Zalenga asked, "What would you do if you knew you couldn't fail?" and I've been thinking about it all day. What WOULD you do? Pretty much everything and anything.

Worrying and fear of failure go hand in hand. You can't worry your way to success.

This is part of an ongoing personal project I have to habituate some Roe Deer to better understand their behaviour and to be able to photograph them close-up. I had a breakthrough with this small group in getting their curiosity and a bit of trust. I sat down nearby whilst they grazed, and every now and again they would come over to check out this odd human following them around. Later on I had an incredible experience. I had been trying to get the buck used to my voice. Later on when I called to him, expecting him to just stop, quite incredibly he walked towards sniffing me. And at one point came very close to me. I might put the video up.

Some checked mountains....not sure how that connects to cushions, but luckily I have another shot for cushions.

Maybe anthropomorphizing..but this Coyote seemed to be quite deliberately checking his options and deciding on what to catch next. He was amazingly proficient. A casual walk, stop, look at that point, then another, then....pounce! He caught three in less than 10 minutes and I'm sure he could have done more but seemed to consider the rest not up to his standards that day.

It was pretty late on a cool day so I was surprised to find these guys out and about. Actually there were three, but one got frightened and left. The big one never moved, but the little one, probably a male because they are smaller, decided to check me out. I kept trying to time my shots in anticipation of his tongue flicks and none are in perfect focus but I had fun trying.
