An image of the local Chat taken last Fall as he feasted on Bittersweet Nightshade berries. Yesterday (Feb 24) he was reported to be still alive and doing well in spite of our cold winter weather. He has changed his diet to fortified suet.

The Bee-eater in the middle was continuously chatting and making all kind of sounds. The other two were looking for a place to run. They didn't seem to be enjoying the talk....

These two tree swallows preened and turned to one another occasionally with beaks wide. My husband built two nesting boxes with small nesting cavities made to specifications.
