As I've got older I think I have got more cynical but occasionally you realise how nice people can be.

Since I got my hands on a Zeiss 15mm I've been thinking I need to go photograph the Chapter House ceiling at York Minster.

So with the weather looking awful today I headed to York. Made my way to the Minster, paid in and then headed straight to the Chapter House. When I got there it was shut. There where a couple of older ladies who were sorting out an area with sandwiches etc so I asked them it it was shut for the day. They explained it was as a number of important services where being held in the room. But they wanted to know why I wanted to go in as I explained on of them said well we shall have to get you special permission! Off she went and ten minutes later came back removed the barrier and said I would be ok for 15 minutes. Great when someone helps like that :)

Have to say I love this spot it's one of those places which feeds the soul!

Chapter 1 of a four picture story that will unfold over the year. A very cool challenge presented by the group 52 weeks of 2016.

52 weeks of 2016: week 6 Chapter 1 (Storytelling)

Finally a day without rain or snow or frigid temperatures! Not only that I was able to actually bike to this spot instead of hike, felt so good to zoom through the forest trails again! Man, I love spring and summer!

Hope you're all having an awesome monday!

The challenge is to tell a story in four pictures. They will be spread throughout the year. I had a very hard time coming up with an idea for this one, as I will be moving in May and needed something that wasn’t dependent on having consistent scenery. Plus Chapter Two will be occuring right about the time I will be moving so having props that aren’t lost in a box somewhere was an additional concern. I think I came up with something. Now lets just hope I can find my Smurfs come May 7th!

recently on a photo-walk in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. There was something about this building that caught my attention...it brings to mind a cross between a spike lee film, such as 'crooklyn' and a wes anderson film 'the royal tenenbaums'...because of the association i named it "chapter II"

thank you for viewing.....critique welcome :D

Week No: 19

Theme: Chapter 2

As the sun set, the sky became a menacing red color. The red light poured into the office of the one and only Eldritch Blackwell. The doors opened and the Blackwell Technologies manager walked in. Blackwell looked up from his computer.

"Why are you here? What happened?"

"W-well sir... um. Well-"

"What is it man?!" Blackwell slammed the desk with his hand.

"Another one escaped!" The manager blurted out.

The two guards standing on either side of the door shifted.

"Didn't you tell me this wouldn't happen again?" Blackwell leaned back into his chair.

"Yes sir, but-"

" "But" nothing! How did he escape?"

"...He jumped out of a window, sir."

"And the guards couldn't catch him?"

"He had an accomplice."

Blackwell stood up and walked over to the large window, admiring the sunset.

"Beautiful, isn't it?"

"Y-yes, yes it is s-sir."

"Too bad I can't enjoy it, all I can think of is another employee lose. Because SOMEONE allowed him to escape."

"I'm sorry sir! His earpiece was malfunctioning, we tried to wipe him... but he took it out."

Blackwell turned and looked at one of the guards.

"Advance the security in the city, we have to find him."

The guard nodded.

"I won't let it happen again." The manager said taking a step closer.

"That's what you said the last two times. Take him away!" Blackwell shouted.

The two guard walked toward the manager.

"No! I'm sorry! Please don't do this!" He begged as the guards dragged him out.

The doors slammed and silence filled the room.

After the last shot (which I really didn't like) I think this one made up for it. :) I tried out a new background color, I think it might have been a little too bright but I think it still works. I hope you like this one! Thanks for looking!

"I don't know." I said after about a minute of thinking.

"Come again?" Caesar said raising an eyebrow.

"What do you mean you don't know? How can you not know your own name?" Jennie asked, her smile fading.

I tried to think harder, it was making my head hurt. But then it hit me, earlier today, before I jumped out of the window. The guard with the tablet, the buzzing in my ear, the sharp pain I felt before I took the earpiece out. That guard had erased my memory. I hung one leg over the side of the stretcher.

"Blackwell... they wiped my brain." I said still trying to take it all in.

"They wiped your memories? Your name?" Jennie asked.

I nodded.

"Well, what about your parents, siblings, friends? Did they erase that too?" Caesar was looking hard at me.

I did my best to try to remember.

"My parents are both dead, I can't think of their names. I don't have siblings. As for friends-" When I tried to think of names my head hurt worse.

Blackwell took so much from me, and there was nothing I could do about it.

Sorry is this one ended kinda abruptly, I was in a hurry. And I apologize if there are any typos in here, I'm kind of a careless writer. :P Thanks for looking! TTYL.
