In order to make a perfect roti/chapati for our future Chicken Tikka Rolls, we bought this bag of atta flour from an Indian grocery store in Jersey City. ($6.99 for 10-lb bag)
It is 100% whole wheat, and can make soft textured roti or chapati.
... still cooking on the jiko. This one (and the many others we ate) was made with a bit of grated lemon peel and grated carrot, mixed into the dough, giving the chapati a tangy flavour. Lucy's son was the chef, and he produced sufficient for me to carry a bag of them home with me too!

Ascending the Pass. Snow starts to be really deep, it takes a lot of effort to continue. Breathing gets heavy, few steps and then stop. The surroundings are just breathtakingly beautiful as well. The light gets brighter and brighter. Near to the Top of the Pass, a cloud appears and takes all sight. We are not sure if we can continue, time is after 4PM already.
