A 350 Rally was held on SUNY-ESF campus supporting action on the Climate Crisis. Approximately 150 people gathered to form a 40 foot by 70 foot "350." The President of the College and representatives from the Mayor's Office, the County, and NYSERDA spoke about energy policy. Afterwards, participants signed the Energy Pledge.

It can be interesting watching clouds around mountains where the weather seems to change by the minute. These images were taken within a short time in the Green Mountains of Vermont in June 2015.

This one's almost finished. Twenty minutes ago it was looking like a real mess and after many attempts I was about to chuck it and start a new one. At the last moment I changed the overall hue and saturation and suddenly the ugly turned beautiful and I'll get a keeper out of it. I was working with "second drawer" images. These are ones that are boring or badly composed or are generally not interesting for one reason or another. But you never know what's going to work, and sometimes it's these "bad" images that combine the best.
Greetings,
A group of youths, several climate change officers, nearby communities and some
very naughty but active children came together on 9/10/10 (10/10/10 is a holy
day for most Solomon Islanders) to do a little cleaning up of the Mataniko River
bank. We rid the site of garbage and we also plan to sow flowers purely inorder
to beautify the area. In addition, given that the area is quite vast and will
require much effort, a later date is set to launch a huge clean-up action
activity there.
The attached pictures illustrate the small but energetic and lively individuals.
Please keep in mind that unfortunately most Solomon Islanders are camera shy,
so including everybody in the pictures was quite a challenge...:))
Cheers!
Responsibility for the 40th Expeditionary Signal Battalion passed from Command Sgt. Maj Jason D. McCoy to Command Sgt Maj. Kenneth A. Vaillancourt in a ceremony on Brown Parade Field March 1, 2019. Honoring Signal Corps tradition, Soldiers relayed commands for the ceremony using semaphore flags. The 40th ESB is the only forces command unit on Fort Huachuca.
