Chambers - Scania N94UD / East Lancs OmniDekka - YN55 PZG seen at Bury St Edmunds Bus Station on August 27th 2020
Mersey Chambers was built in 1878 for the Harrison Shipping Line in Liverpool, and designed by G.E. Grayson. It is a Grade II listed building.
It fronts St. Nicholas' churchyard, which was laid out as a public garden in 1891 in memory of James Harrison, a partner in the company.
The rear elevation to Covent Garden is a functional design with rows of oriel windows to admit maximum light. Inside, the offices are arranged around a glazed court.
There is a splendid panelled boardroom going back to approx. 1920.
Featuring a Liver Bird looking towards one of the two famous ones on the Royal Liver Building. This poor bird is in much need of corrective surgery on one wing. I really like the relief of a sailing ship seen here under the bird.
We should always look up in city centres. Worth risking the wrath of gulls and pigeons!

Hospital of the Holy Spirit, Lübeck, Schleswig-Holstein
The Hospital of the Holy Spirit is still today witness to a significant social initiative of the Middle Ages. The care, piety and wealth of Lübeck merchants as well as concern for the welfare of their own souls led to the building of the Hospital on Koberg (between 1260 and 1286) with significant involvement of the city council.
The Hospital is consequently one of Europe's oldest social institutions. At the same time it is one of most important building monuments to North German Brick Gothic. The Hospital was able to take in over 100 sick or needy elderly people. The wooden chambers in the large hall, the nave, were only built in the early 19th century.

Weehawken, NJ | blog.peteyphotography.com
I got a new blog post up from the workshop in NJ, along with some photos from this year's Waterfest!
Here is a shot from the Jeremy Saffer and Gage Young workshop a few weekend's ago that took place in New Jersey. I've been super busy and haven't been able to do many uploads.
I do have a few more to upload as the week goes on, Including a few photos from With Words recording sessions, along with their new promo's. I'll be heading out on tour with them in August! I'm super proud of them and they've come a long way for sure.
I can't wait to see where they'll go with their musical careers!

Chambers Bay Golf Course was formerly a sand-and-gravel quarry, the remnants which can be seen in this picture. Today, it is a popular golf course in Tacoma, WA. Chambers Bay hosted the 2010 U.S. Amateur and is scheduled to host the U.S. Open in 2015, the first time the event will be held in the Pacific Northwest. Chambers Bay is the longest course in USGA history.
52 Chambers Street in Newburgh has been empty for at least a decade. It is a six bedroom, one bathroom home built in 1899. It sold for $60,000 in 2004 and $93,000 in 2021 (less than a week after I took this photo). It looks like the 2021 buyer was trying to flip the house without any improvements for $129K but it was taken off the market last month.
