It’s made in the Canadian province of Ontario as are/were many American cars.
The engine in the rare Challenger SRT Demon 170 produces up to 1025 horsepower. It requires 85% ethanol (170 proof) in its fuel to produce that though. Hence the 170 moniker in the model name.

I like the design of the wheels. It’s a shame that you can’t see them very well because of the current fad of painting wheels black. During development, adjustments to the shadow detail of this image needed to be made just to be able to see some detail.

On theme 25: "looking down". My creation of the week after a bet with a friend. Not perfect, but decent!
Ferrari uses the Corse Clienti Ferrari Racing Days meetings at various circuits to allow a group of specially selected customers to test limited edition cars developed exclusively for the track and to race the latest of the Challenge series of cars providing feedback on the performance of the cars to Corse Clienti engineers, thus helping Ferrari to develop its cars for the future. This is a photograph that I took at the Ferrari Racing Days meeting at Silverstone in September 2017 where various of the Challenge cars were on display in the paddock. It's a Ferrari F430 Challenge, which has a 4,308cc V8 engine and was produced from 2007 to 2010. It replaced the 360 Challenge and was succeeded by the 458 Challenge.

As the sun set , it's rays caught the jetty boardwalk and the details of the wood. Parts of this were weathered due to the mositure/sea spray etc., The sailboat - Hmmm not mine :-(.

For the Monday Photo Challenges and Thursday Retreads'.
The subject for this week's photo challenge is to take a picture that would be on the October cover of your favorite magazine.
yeah I did this last minute.
I took this photograph at Druids Corner during one of the races at the Vintage Sports Car Club's Formula Vintage meeting at Oulton Park in May 2019. It's Duncan Ricketts in the ERA Parnell Challenger which was conceived by Reg Parnell for the 1½ litre Formule Internationale which was expected to be introduced in 1941 - events in 1939 obviously stopped that from happening. It was apparently intended to be fitted with an MG engine, but its only appearance before the war was at Prescott in early 1939 when it had an ERA engine. After the war Reg Parnell fitted it with an 8-cylinder inline Delage engine, but lost interest in the project after acquiring a Maserati 4CL. It was driven by David Hampshire in a couple of events with the Delage engine in 1947 and more recently came into the ownership of Duncan Ricketts who restored the car with a supercharged 1,488cc ERA engine.
Challenge #184: Unexpected Moments
My granddaughter Scarlett is the cutie in front holding the ball. She will soon be performing with her dance group during intermission at the latest Utah Jazz game. Who would guess that the girls would be invited to shoot hoops to make their night's experience even more fun and exciting! Utah Jazz played the Miami Heat and sadly lost the game!
This one was pretty fun to design. I've wanted to do a purple car forever, and there is arguably no better choice for the color than a classic Challenger. I found a new way of doing side-by-side headlights that doesn't involve the binocular piece! This method offers totally different connection points and ultimately takes up less space, too. My personal favorite technique on this build is the use of light bluish gray flags to fill a 1/2 plate gap between the taillights and the rear bumper.

The Matchless G3L Motorcycle was developed for use by the British Army :-
Engine - 349cc Air Cooled Single.
Production 1939 - 46.
Power 16 BHP at 5200 rpm.
In 1940, 110 Matchless G3/L's were ordered from England by the South African Army as the preferred machine for use by Despatch Riders.
As well as general army transport G3/L's were widely used for delivering messages that were too important to be sent by radio or by telephone.
They were also used for convoy escort, having to read maps and act as an “Advance Party" into occupied territory.
Dispatch riders were an easy target for snipers, they had to use dimmed headlights and coped with poor road conditions.
In a Second World War study, Sir Hugh Cairns identified head injuries as a major cause of loss of life among dispatch riders and recommended crash helmets instead of the standard “tin helmet" or forage caps that were often worn.
Sir Hugh's recommendation eventually led to compulsory crash helmets for motorcyclists – but not for another 32 years.
This motorcycle was used by the British Army in Africa.
I've been challenged by Izzy Standbridge to post five black and white pictures on five consecutive days (that's one on each of the five days), and on each of those days to challenge another person to do the same.
This is my last shot, the whole exercise has been far more of a challenge than I thought it would be. I have enjoyed the challenge and it has been good for making me think which images work well in black and white and which don't, but time and weather have been a problem.
Made this in response to Kira's journal challenge. My journal book is kind of small, so I spread it over 2 pages. Also, I don't have a scanner, so I had to snap a picture......(I am a semi-newbie to art journals.....and as the journaling suggests---I need to fdevelop & find my style, and become more confident and believe in myself...need to learn more...and to learn to confidently let it flow....have fun...) Go easy on me....
Took some time today to expand on my challenge of photographing smoke. I ended up with 11 interesting photo's that show how amazing a single trail of smoke can appear when captured in a photograph and "colorized" to enhance some of the details. Like flames in a fire or clouds in the sky, these smoke trails can - with a little imagination - become nearly anything!
The gathering of the smoke at the end of "stalk" seemed similar to how a flower forms in nature; so I added color to demonstrate the similarity I saw. Do you see something different?
Photographs were taken of smoke rising from a single incense stick, using two (2) off camera strobes set at varying power levels ranging from 1/2 power to 1/8 power. One flash was set at just over 90 degrees to the camera (to reduce lens glare). The second strobe was set in front of the smoke and below the incense stick facing upwards.

.... a fun photo shoot! Me and Abby challenged each other to take a small photo shoot for a half an hour! Sadly she won and got back first.... so do the same thing with your friends!
Rules: It can be either of yourself (no one else), animals, or flowers. It cannot be a boring blank photo but it has to be interesting, you must atleast take 70 or more pictures... then edit and post on flickr.
It was super fun! What do you think of the edit? Suggestions needed! This was edited by picnik.com :) I have had a bussyy week/weekend recitals and what not! 1,642 views :D
Yes, I know, this is a strange photo.
