"I would like you to come to me in a winter evening and close together behind the glass, watching the solitude of dark streets and frosts, we remembered the winters of fairy tales, where we lived together without knowing it.
(Dino Buzzati)"
Backlit challenge. This was taken with strong back lighting using fill in flash. I like the effect of the light passing through the petals. I took many photos, most were discards because of lens flare and internal reflections caused by sunlight entering the lens. Taken in the Conservatory at Longwood Gardens.

Challenge #198: Water
She doesn't get that grin on her face playing video games. Before Addie does stuff like this, she always asks me, "Is it ok if I get wet and play in the water?" My answer is always yes. Kids these days have forgotten how to be kids. Let them play and have fun!
This week’s photo challenge was PAPER. I had some ideas and this one is the one I liked most. Bit weird isn’t it? I showed it to my daughters and they saw many details in the newspaper, what I never saw 😊

The meanest muscle car there is, the Challenger Hellcat, with it`s 707 hp, 6.2 liter Hemi V8, this is the ultimate tool to race between the lights :)
Salt River Wild Horses, Tonto National Forrest, Arizona. Canon EOS 5Dmk3 monochrome Converted (de-bayered).
For this challenge the theme is high contrast in black and white. The idea is to achieve an interesting composition using the high ends of black and white

The Tall Ships Youth Trust enables young people aged 12-25 to fulfil their potential through life-changing adventures at sea. And an extensive adult programme, for ages 18-80, helps fund the youth development work.
The Trust, which is based at Portsmouth, has helped 117,000 trainees during the past 60 years, and more than 80 per cent of the young people taken to sea are disadvantaged or disabled.
A fleet of four 72ft Challenger yachts and a 55ft ketch enables the charity to take 1,000 young people to sea every year.

I had trouble finding a cube but finally an old game of Yahtzee belonging to my daughters yielded these dice so I had a bit of fun with them.

Wet track, fogged windshield, walls of Armco and an expensive vintage racer. I don't think we as spectators can appreciate the challenges a driver has to deal with, and this is vintage racing! I could be wrong but, I don't think there is money to be made by winning, only expense. In a sense this is a return to motorsports roots when it was done for the sport,
