Quickly found a lone female Halloween at the wetlands yesterday that liked to pose. Shot her till my batteries ran out. Here at home had 6 Tiger swallowtails and a Great spangled fritillary in the butterfly bushes - the most Tiger's I've seen in two years. A Red-spotted purple was sunning in our muscadines but didn't come up to the flower garden.

This was our agility session earlier this evening...there's always one. Goodness knows why Blossom took it upon herself to go the wrong way round :) Bonus points for a critter, how about 3 bonus points for 3 critters, Crow? Well the photo made me smile...and I welcome any other caption suggestions.

Looking from Sandy Acre Meadow across Chall Park towards a misty River Lynher.
Churchtown Farm is a community nature reserve one mile south of Saltash, Cornwall. It is owned and managed by Cornwall Wildlife Trust, and includes diverse habitats such as grassland, estuarine mudflats, wetland, woodland, disused quarries and hedgerows.
Situated within the Tamar Valley AONB, and positioned between the rivers Tamar and Lynher as well as Forder Creek, the majority of the reserve is farmland. This includes hay meadows and arable fields.

Il TGV 4504 effettua un Milano-Parigi di metà giornata. Qui ripreso nella bella stazione di Chambery Challes les Eaux.

Este fenómeno tan efímero como exquisito, tiene lugar entre finales de julio y septiembre en años muy lluviosos. La tierra reseca se cubre de un manto multicolor convirtiendo un paisaje propio de Lawrence de Arabia en los prados de Bambi.
No había llovido demasiado pero sí lo suficiente para poder contemplar este pequeño manto, espectacular en medio de la aridez de este Atacama.
L´APMFS à fait rouler pour les JEP 2023 quelques trains entre Lyon Perrache et Chambéry Challes les Eaux avec une de leurs CC6500 qui assuraient cette liaisons il y a quelques décennies avec des voitures UIC et USI, presque toutes radiées aujourd'hui.
Avec un joli combo avec 2 machins d´antan, CC6500 X TGV PSE !

La Z 9633 Bourgogne assurant le TER 883005 Chambéry-Challes-les-Eaux (07h48) - Modane (09h07) est vue passant près de Epierre-Saint-Léger au petit matin.
Im Oktober 1937 wird Alfred Stüber verhaftet
und nach sechs Monaten Haft in Stuttgart am
28. Mai 1938 in das KZ Buchenwald eingeliefert.
Der Druck, dem die Zeugen Jehovas im Lager
ausgesetzt sind, mindert sich für ihn schließlich
durch seine Einweisung in die Fotoabteilung,
wo auch andere Bibelforscher im Auftrag der SS
erkennungsdienstliche Aufnahmen der Gefangenen
machen müssen.
Im April und Mai 1945 fotografiert er im Auftrag
des Internationalen Lagerkomitees das befreite
Buchenwald. Die Fotos werden noch im Lager für
die in ihre Heimatorte zurückkehrenden Häftlinge
vervielfältigt. Auch in den Nachkriegsjahren
versorgt Alfred Stüber ehemalige Lagergefährten
mit Abzügen von seinen Aufnahmen.
