Large ceramic relief sculpture entitled "Tribute", commemorating Illinois Central College's 30th year. Prominently placed on the side of the Administration Building, it was dedicated in 1999. The work was created by Marlene Miller, former faculty member and ceramic sculptor working in nearby Washington, Illinois.

Tiles arrived today so I practiced nipping the petals for a sunflower. I think I like this design better than the ones I previously posted. What do you think? The center is the bottom of a soup plate. Unfortunately I'm going to have to cut it into a few pieces so it will lay flat. Can you tell I'm getting anxious to get started with the mosaicing???
