Macro Mondays - Stack
Recipe tiles are 1" square, stack is 1/12' high, image is 2 3/4" on the long side
It's unfortunate that I do not have a tile for Stacked Enchiladas, lol!
Happy Macro Mondays! : )

For the Saturday challenge "flower name is first name".
HCC and HSoS ;o)
Wild rose bushes are part of our garden, in beds and hedges. They have a wonderful fragrance that hybrid tea roses seem to have lost. At the moment our red roses are blooming, the white ones seem to be a little slower to flower.

103rd Street station on the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) in New York City. I hadn't spent much time in the New York City subway system due to the pandemic. When I returned recently I was amazed at how sparkling clean the beautiful mosaic tiled walls were.
Before the blue hydrangea flowers fade they go through several tints ... here they are in their green state! So I put them together with one of my latest miniature vases from Yuta Segawa. The background bokeh is the hydrangea bush beyond the window...
Happy Bokeh Wednesday!
When I looked it up online I discovered ....."Hydrangea flowers can turn green in response to fewer hours of daylight. With less sunlight there is less energy for the flower heads to produce the blue, pink or white pigmentation in the blooms. This causes the hydrangea flowers to fade from their original color to green in late Summer"

In Seville, Andalusia, Spain even the stairs are beautifully decorated with gorgeous tiles. In this cultural exchange building, every flight of stairs had different ornamentation. Really made you want to climb the stairs! :)

In traditional Malay houses on stilts, especially those in the state of Malacca, the risers of the steps leading to the main door would have decorative ceramic tiles such as these.
The terracotta pots were empty, waiting to be filled with spring and summer flowers. Usually, they have a lot of donations from visitors. Photo taken in early spring this year at Nature Barn. - Stoever's Dam Park. (See photo below with its history) HSS!
On/Off - Thank you very much for your visit and taking the time to comment! Much appreciated!

Not just black and white, but the hard and the soft too.
I wasn't sure whether post-production was allowed for this challenge, so I played safe and chose a black vase and a white flower!
The miniature vase is just under 3cm at it's widest point ... and the tiny geranium is from an indoor pot ...

Thank you for your much appreciated visit and nice comment!
Happy 😊 on Saturday!
... having fun playing with white, with textures, and with shadows.
Background texture my own.
As well as just enjoying reworking some ideas, I'm learning PS 2024, and experimenting with how to process high key and white subjects.
Hope you enjoy it 😊

A pebble and a stray feather shot in the natural light through the window. Another shot for my Odds and Sods folder! Collecting 'found' objects from the garden, from the beach, from the woods we walk through .... they are all part of my Simple Pleasures and possibly mean more to me than many bought objects!
Happy MBT and Donnerstagsmonochrom 😊

For the Macro Mondays challenge "Three" (July 24th 2017)
A small cake fork that has just 3 tines or prongs. Shot in the sunshine on ceramic kitchen tiles. Lines and shadows give extra 'threes', which I rather liked. The size of the fork shot against a 3x2" credit card in the first comment field

Ceramic tiles part of a panel from a 13th century palace in Iran (Kashan). At Pergamon museum, Berlin.
One of my miniature vases. The glaze is white, and it sits on white ceramic tiles, and is backed with white watercolour paper. About as white as I could get 😊

... Part of an art piece.
Part of a ceramic tile showing St. Martin. We both love this piece, but it is horrible to photo, as any light bounces off it. So I did the best I could.
Maybe view large, and thank you for your favourites. :)
Built soon after 1907 as the Woodland Drug Co. Houston Avenue. Woodland Heights. Now a photography studio. Houston, Texas. 1.13.2013.
