On the edge of the Gallatin Valley right up against the Bridger Mountains I stopped at this old cemetary.
Located in a cemetary on this ranch near Anton Chico, New Mexico.
The stone on the right is dated 1887-1915.
Over Griswold Cemetary, HDR LR/Enfuse. The sunset over the cemetery reminds me that life is finite... and each day counts. This family farm cemetery is the resting place of several generations.
a girl (tour guide) traveled with us to halong bay, and she explained the following:
" the vietnamese believe we come from the earth and therefore we must go back to the earth when we die.
When someone dies, they are buried twice. ie, Two years after the first burial, the corpse is dugged out. Only the bones remain, they are cleaned and buried once again into the earth, in a pagoda." This does not apply to fishing villages, they bury their people once.
