4th August 2015 - Part of the massive cell guides that house the containers on ACL's 'Atlantic Conveyor'.
Markyate Cell, an Elizabethan mansion (with a longer religious prehistory) in Markyate, Hertfordshire. The house is situated in the midst of a wonderful park. The gates you see in the other images of this series belong to this mansion. Do you like it? It could be yours - it is for sale again.

Took a chance and intercepted this storm cell some distance from my home turf. Was well worth the chase! I don't think I've ever seen structure like this before. There was some interesting, noticeable rotation at the bottom of this thing but nothing eventuated.
This shot was also taken with my Samsung S21 Plus phone instead of my Nikon D750. Not a bad result.

Auf der Allerinsel ist ein neues Naherholungsgebiet entstanden. Die Abtrennung von dem Erholungsgebiet zum Industriegebiet erolgt durch einen sehr naturnahen Zaun aus langen Holzscheiten. Eine sehr gelungene Lösung wie ich finde.

Mrs. Krach took my photo this morning for me in the 'matching light' ... and our schnoodle had to get into the portrait as well ... hence he joined my here with the grizzly cup that I captured while in Yellowstone this past summer.
This used to be the gatekeeper's lodge for Markyate Cell, a 16th century mansion. The property is now in private ownership. Built in Elizabethan style and dating from the first decades of the 19th century, the building is grade II listed. 7Artisans manual lens at F5.6.
From my 2017 archives. Forlorn tiny inmate bedroom cell at Z Ward, where the criminally insane of Adelaide were locked back in 1885. The criteria for being an inmate was having committed a crime and posing a danger to others and/or themselves due to insanity.

This is further enforced by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
The beehive cells of Skellig Michael, Ireland. Monks from the 6th century and possibly much earlier, built these beehive cells and made them their home. It’s thought that no more than 12 monks lived on the now uninhabited island at a time and no more than 4 monks per cell. You may also recognise these cells from the film Star Wars where Luke Skywalker had been hiding.
La niebla en el embalse de Terradets, una de las escenas más típicas del invierno leridano.
El camino que rodea el lago, que en otras épocas del año es un espacio bastante concurrido por excursionistas y paseantes, con las nieblas persitentes del invierno se convierte en un lugar solitario por gélido y desapacible... aunque a mi gusto mucho más bello y con una muy atractiva aura de misterio.
