Let's hope beautiful places are here for future generations to enjoy and that hopefully someday, our species will learn to live in peace and that we are all on this planet together.

Black, white, yellow, red, green, I don't care what color or background one has, we all bleed red.

I will be off and on Flickr for the next couple days while we celebrate my Mom's Birthday. 90 years young!

My co-workers knew how much I enjoyed photography and they signed me up for a photography course at our local art center as a Christmas gift. My husband had just given me my Canon T3i and I had just started posting on Flickr. We had weekly assignments and this was my picture for our portrait assignment.

Lots of family are coming into town to help celebrate this special lady in our lives.

Thank you friends for your lovely wishes to my Mom! She had a wonderful celebration and we all enjoyed lots of family time!

They really are this pink!

I have reluctantly decided to withdraw from any commenting groups, as I am finding the repetitive pasting of a fixed comment some what lacking in my enjoyment of your images. I feel far more comfortable leaving a personal message, if and when I see an enjoyable image. I hope you all have preferred the spontaneous response. Many thanks to all the group admins for all their dedicated work and time, I have been flattered by your invites.....

I inherited this butterfly/dragonfly pin from my mom. I wear it on my winter coat lapel (sometimes my hat). I found it again this week as I was digging out my winter woolies. Mom's been gone three years now...hard to believe

July 14 was the day the Monarch Caterpillar went into the next stage, I did not see it till it became Butterfly,

I but him in a safe place to dry overnight and on Tuesday saw him soar up in the sky after I took few more photos,

Although there is little to celebrate about suffering from M.E. I do appreciate that here on Flickr we recognise and pause to remember all the millions world-wide who are fighting, adjusting and learning to live with this baffling condition. Like Maria I am a long-term sufferer. It devastates and demands a total reshaping of your life.

I had hopes that "Long Covid" might trigger some serious research and progress and understanding of what goes wrong when a virus digs in so deep that it alters the human body in many destructive ways. But so far it seems that Covid has just added millions more to the ranks of M.E. sufferers.
