They're in danger of getting banned by the government unless us people rise up. All our houses are gonna be filled up with hideous wrong-coloured light! They're gonna make us put the ugly fluorescent newstyle coilshape tubes into all of our ceilingfan lights, it looks terrible.
I've been preparing to visit congressional offices & I'm gonna go inside them & scream as loudly as I can so nobody can hear anything except me screaming. Until the threats to incandescent are gone completely, and the government is dead for ever.

The ceiling and stained glass transom windows in the bar at the Thames Street Oyster House.
I like how the egg shape (or should I say oyster shape?) in the egg and dart pattern of the stained glass is mirrored by the shape of the light fixtures. After a few drinks, it'll become more impressive, I promise. :-)
A somewhat flawed panorama of my upstairs work area. A couple of my pieces are joined by nine prints, drawings and paintings by other living artists. On my art desk is a new, minuscule scanner and a pile of seventeen large (2 x 4 inch) polymer erasers. Just got them for a song and intend to make relief prints by carving them. Missing from this photo is an IKEA flat file, just out of view in front of the arm chair.

This is the fan in my little art/photography room upstairs.
I used my iPhone 11 to take this photo. I just discovered today that it had a setting for this. I think I'll be using it more now that I've found it.
Fire Tornado in the Fire Pavilion at Magna Science Adventure Centre, Rotherham, near Sheffield in South Yorkshire.
A small pool of kerosene is squirted onto the hot plate which is heated to 80 degrees C. The kerosene is ignited by a spark and air is directed sideways from holes in the four columns to spin the flame as a ceiling fan draws the fire upwards.
The heat from this display is quite intense - the viewers are closer than this shot might suggest.
Magna's Fire Tornado is one of only three in the world, the other two being in Germany and USA.

a kind man in a colorful mosque with many clocks. this man saw me looking at the mosque and even though he did not speak any english (or french..) invited me inside. he then proceeded to show me around every room and later took me accross the old town to another mosque with interesting tiles decorated with mount fuji. why or how they used mount fuji, i have no idea..

We replaced the fan in the livingroom. It only had one light-bulb and was small, as for a small bedroom. This one really lights up the room. The picture doesn't do the light justice. It really is bright, but I'm uploading the dark version so you can't see all the dust that was on my ceiling!

Remark: M.T.C. is the acronym for Motor Transport Corps, United States Army, which had a training camp located at Valparaiso University during World War I. The majority of the members of this particular corps were discharged from service by mid-December 1918. The M.T.C. Mess Hall was also known on campus as the East Hall dining room.
East Hall was located southeast of the intersection of present day Greenwich Street and Short Street.

The following news item appeared in the February 28, 1918, issue of The Chesterton Tribune:

Valparaiso University is now making preparations for the instruction of from one thousand to two thousand soldiers for the U. S. government in the art of civil engineering. The deal has not yet been completed, but indications are that within a short time a large number of Uncle Sam's boys in the war service will be housed in Valparaiso to learn civil engineering to help them in their work in France. Already plans are being made at the various hall and rooming houses on the hill to take care of this additional lot of men.
