Chapter house Ceiling
I laid out on the floor for these shots - nothing unusual in that, except a class of school children entered the Chapter House and on seeing me proceeded to do like wise - to everyone's amusement - but they got the view too!
impressive ceiling at the main mall of the SM Mall of Asia. More shops have now been opened since this pictiure was taken.
I love escaped balloons, when I'm in shopping centres that sell them I always have a wee scan for balloons. They carry with them a wee bit of sadness, cause you know only a short time before some child was freaking out at having lost it.

This Westland Sea King HAS6 is at the Imperial War Museum's branch at Duxford. It had been in service with the 814 Naval Air Squadron - the "Flying Tigers".

Westminster RC Cathedral was designed by architect John Bentley. The building was started in 1895, completed in 1903, and consecrated in 1910. The style is known as 'Edwardian Blood & Bandages' for obvious reasons, and is built of red brick with stone banding. The cathedral has the widest nave of any church in England. The decoration of the interior is ongoing. The plan was for the lower part to be covered in marble with mosaics above. The marbling is complete - using over 100 different types of marble - the decoration of the side chapels is largely finished, but if you look up in the main part of the building you are met with dark, gloomy brick. Despite this the building is extremely impressive, and very beautiful. The feeling in the Cathedral is that of a peaceful, prayerful, living church. Well worth a visit.

One of the very largest and perhaps the most stunning of Indian temples, the Meenakshi Temple is a wonder to behold. It is a vast complex punctuated by more than ten gopura towers, the four biggest being positioned at the cardinal points on each side of the complex's perimeter wall; these are easily among the biggest and most richly adorned ever built, swarming with a multitude of sculpted stucco figures painted in bright colours (which are renewed every twelve years).
Inside the temple is a network of vast corridors with brightly painted ceilings supported by hundreds of wonderful sculpted pillars.
Sadly I can't share any of this as the temple authorities only allow photography on mobile-phones, real cameras must be left outside (security is strict). As a result visiting this beautiful place was a near painful experience seeing what a marvel it is but being limited to a few shots of two of the towers taken from outside. Never before had we felt so lost without a camera!
