My grandchildren fishing for minnows on the River Doon Ayrshire, they were released safely again after the catch.Great fun for Joey ,it was his first time, sometimes the best days out cost nothing.

Been running like crazy all week catching up with things. Spring means new construction starts and things start popping out of the ground like dandelions in an open field.

Getting accustomed to Bosses work so I run all over the place with him doing everything with him that he does except shitting. I obviously do that in the Ladies room.

Here I am, stopping for lunch. Even though I can't eat nearly 3/4's of menu. Still look over menu and fanaticize.

Heading up to lake this afternoon. Not sure how long I'll be there this weekend. Can do all my computer stuff up there so why not. Might even take a run and look at progress at my out of town job tomorrow. Not that far. Knock off several things in process.

Summer will be here soon. Time to start getting organized for it. 24 hours in a day. 7 days in a week. Two lives to live. One work. One pleasure. And pleasure is lake and riding.

The end of my 30th birthday involved catching fireflies with my nephew and Grandfather. Couldn't have asked for a better day.

Went out this morning to see if I could find some compositions, as Thomas Heaton would say, to shoot. I didn't have to look long or hard as these Aspens were catching the early morning light nicely and were a nice contrast to the Red Willow they were growing amongst.

Just back from vacation. I'm relaxing and catching up with e-mail I couldn't take care of. Hotel WiFi can be as bad as dial up.

I have new respect for the phrase "catching lightning in a bottle". There was an incredible lightning show passing south of Nashua tonight - more than I've ever seen in a storm before. This is the first time I've ever caught lightning, and it is in fact pretty hard.

There are many things Henry does well.

Catching Cookies is not one of them.

But if you push the Clarity slider ALL the way to the right, even this shot looks amusing.

That's OK Henry, you are perfect in every other way.

European bee-eater, Merops apiaster. So desperate to load at least one from this marvellous experience watching bee-eaters catching dragonflies on Mallorca. Light was either too bright or too hazy or the birds weren't flying. Watching and listening to them was, however, fantastic.

This is one of a few art-deco era theatres in GA that is in a race to be saved by its patrons. Yes that's right, they are still doing first run movies, but the studios have stopped making films available on film. Converting to digital takes a lot of money, the patrons here are trying to reach the goal in time to save this beauty.

The sun shining through the windows this morning reflected through the chrystal and on to the back wall. This is the nearest I will get to catching a rainbow! Taken with one hand, rather shakily while the left one was 'up the wall'

Who knew dipping a piece of rope tied to a couple of fishing poles into a bowl of dish soap would be so much fun.

Hope everyone has a fun weekend and wishing all of my American contacts a wonderful Memorial Day.
