If you're lost and alone
Or you're sinking like a stone
Carry on
May your past be the sound
Of your feet upon the ground
Carry on
Happy Tree Tuesday ;-)

when going in the forest it's fun to watch pieces of leaves moving over the ground, of course carried by these ants
Worbarrow Bay, another part of the Jurassic Coast, this part carries a history that is actually part of this milenium, as well as the millions of years worth of Geology found along the entire 95miles of the World Heritage Site.
About 1km inland is the Ghost Village of Tyneham, A tiny village which had its residents uprooted at incredible short notice by the Armed Forces during WW2. The village and the bay pictured above where used for the purposes of preparing troops for the 1944 D-Day invasion of Normandy, the integral turning point of the war. If you look closely you can see some of the remaining tank traps on the beach! (The big square blocks of stone)
I could not have prepared myself for the intricate beauty of this place, being wowed by almost every vantage point I chose to shoot from.
As well as being a beauty spot, the bay was home to the most colourfull and beautiful sandstone I have ever seen, and as icing on the cake, perfectly formed nodules of Iron Pyrite (Fools Gold) where quite easy to find! Photos of these to come later on :)
It all surmounts to the vilification, that I feel incredibly lucky to have this amazing world heritage site on my doorstep in Dorset!

Happy Easter!!!
I went out looking for fawns this morning with no luck, but this lady showed me that I was a little too early. She's in her prime and probably ready to deliver another set of twins. Her two yearlings were with her, just out of the viewfinder.

She briefly stopped & looked at me before continuing and disappearing in the foliage at the top of the tree. Still could not tell what she was carrying until I lightened the photo on my computer. Glad she didn't drop the baby.

As someone who is into nature photography, I learned that I should carry my point-and-shoot camera with me most of the time when I go for my morning walk. You never know when the atmosphere will be right for a good photo. So, sometimes I’ll photograph a few scenes, next time a few more, and so on…
My camera is a bit old. I don’t see any percentages of how much battery is left, so I could plan to charge it. Instead, I have bars, and they are not reliable, especially given that I used the same battery pack that I got with my camera over a decade ago.
I found myself in the forest, surrounded by the dense fog. It was an absolutely dream condition for photography. Before entering this part of the forest I’ve snapped a few compositions. Suddenly and quite unexpectedly I got a message on my camera display to change the battery pack, and my camera shut down. Panic. How is this even possible? I’m not that irresponsible. It would be quite typical to finally get long-awaited conditions and then be disabled from photographing because of not charging the battery. I thought that I didn’t want to photograph with my phone. Now the panic is transforming into rage.
I waited a few moments and tried to turn on my camera. It’s working. The only problem now is, that I can’t zoom in and out because the camera is shutting down immediately.
This forest was actually not my prime target to photograph that morning, but as it was on my way to another much bigger forest I was heading to, I always turned around to see if I could get something here also. I decided to find a composition and then try to photograph it without zooming. You can see the result. I’m actually quite pleased with the shot.
Funny enough, to get to this bigger forest, I mentioned, from here I need ten maybe fifteen minutes of walking. At that time, of course, my camera is turned off. When I got in position to shoot again, my camera was working perfectly fine without any problems with the battery. I could even zoom in and out and transfer my photos on the computer back home. So, I don’t know what happened there in the first place but I guess that the joke’s on me.

Porter can carry extreme loads. Local trekking agencies have to respect a limit of 25 kilograms. Sometimes 35 kilograms are seen for tourist load carrying but the most extremes loads are carried by porters who are not working for trekking agencies. There is no limit and we can asses some load to approach 100 kg.
Annapurna is famous for having been the first 8000m summit to be climbed by human (Maurice Herzog and Louis Lachenal, in heroic and crazy conditions). Today this area attracts the most trekkers since the lanscape is the most impressive of Nepal. This comes from the fact that the difference of heigh beetween the different summits and the ground basis very high. Based on that criteria, the valley betwwen Annapurna and Dhaulagiri is the deepest in the world. The main ethnic group who live today in this area are the Gurung.

It is a labour of love for me to find 'different' lighting and angles to bring out their unique beauty, the petals so tightly concentrated in the heart and cascading out in full glory.
And then, the smaller variety, in sprays, with curling petals!
Another aspect of Chrysanthemum, tightly packed, a true Autumn flower, built against rain, wind and cold?
The name "chrysanthemum" is derived from the Greek words chrysos (gold) and anthemon (flower)
Chrysanthemums, sometimes called mums or chrysanths, are flowering plants of the genus Chrysanthemum in the family Asteraceae.
They are native to Asia and northeastern Europe.
Most species originate from East Asia and the center of diversity is in China.
Chrysanthemums were first cultivated in China as a flowering herb as far back as the 15th century BC.
The flower was brought to the Western World in the 17th century.
There are about 40 valid species and countless horticultural varieties and cultivars.
For many years, chrysanthemum signifies praise and admiration.
A chrysanthemum is considered as a noble flower of the Chinese noble class.
Wishing you a day full of good light and thank you for your visit, M, (*_*)

At the Aswan Market I found this beautiful lady
carrying her bag above her head. Lovely view.
This is not about trying to go back in time
This is not about where I'll be a year down the line
It's just moment to moment
Surviving somehowe
This is not about then
This is just about now.

VERSE 1
In the moments where I’m weakest
I lift my eyes to see
You are everything you said you’d be
When I’m looking for the answers
And questions stir up fear
I lift my eyes to heaven
And your voice is all that I hear
CHORUS 1
You carry me through the valley
Carry me through the fire
You carry me into freedom
Carry me into life
VERSE 2
When I’m searching, when I’m longing
For more than what I’ve seen
It’s your love that keeps me steady
And my heart from wandering
CHORUS 2
You carry me through the valley
Carry me through the fire
You carry me into freedom
Carry me into life
You carry me up the mountain
Carry me to the heights
Where I understand your story
Where faith is not a fight
BRIDGE
I’m leaning, leaning
Leaning on the everlasting arms
