The monstrous Caribbean Princess inbound to Dublin for a day trip to the Capital.
Build them & they will come, that was the mantra in those booming years, as cruising became a very popular holiday experience, sailing by night & sightseeing by day, usually taking in various countries on these whistle stop tours.
Caribbean Princess was a regular on the Dublin circuit.
This old pier has seen better days, but the birds who roost on it seem to think it is just fine.
There are Brown Pelicans, Laughing Gulls and a Royal Tern taking a break.
The white of these birds is so pure and clean, so beautiful against the blues of the Caribbean Sea.
The Solitary Sandpiper (Tringa solitaria) measures 18–23 cm (7.1–9.1 in) long and breeds in woodlands across Alaska and Canada.
It is a migratory bird, wintering in Central and South America, especially in the Amazon River basin, and the Caribbean like here in Trinidad.
The solitary sandpiper is not a gregarious species, usually seen alone during migration, although sometimes small numbers congregate in suitable feeding areas.
The solitary sandpiper is very much a bird of fresh water, and is often found in sites, such as ditches, too restricted for other waders, which tend to like a clear all-round view. Food is small invertebrates, sometimes small frogs, picked off the mud as the bird works steadily around the edges of its chosen pond. (Wikipedia)

A lovely sundown over the Caribbean Sea. For interest the cruise ship is the Adriana which was anchored offshore the whole time we were there.
It is not the Caribbean Sea. The printer of my work has been making art for a short time. Tomorrow should come the service technician
This is "The Floating Bridge" or the "Queen Emma Bridge" and is basically a wooden road laid across a series of large rowing boats. When a vessel like this yacht or one the size of our cruise ship needs to get passed it is swung open by what appears to be a giant outboard motor mounted to the rear of the yellow cabin. Simple but it works and as you see you can stand on it whilst it moves, no safety barrier or gate or Health and Safety just common sense.
