Looking at the beach of Isla Catalina close the coast of La Romana / Dominican Republic
It was one of our last cruise days when we stopped in La Romana. We pre-booked a tour to Isla Catalina to enjoy the beach there and on our way there it was really amazing to see how turqoise the water was and how white the sand at the beach was. In fact, even after our two weeks cruise with many beaches seen, I am not sure if you can actually get used to its beauty. And when a sailing boat like this and such pretty clouds come into this scene, it was meant to be shot. (However, let's be honest: It's such a cliché but a positive one)

My friend, Sarah Barnaby, is an Impressionist painter, and this is one of my favorites of her recent works. Sarah's use of color is wonderful! Her Caribbean scenes and people are among the best things she does, and she's known for them. Her boat scenes are also gorgeous, and now and then, a "fractured fairy tale" will slip in, like one she did of Pinnochio with his strings cut, sitting reading a newspaper and drinking a cup of coffee! Her work is imaginative and novel.
If anyone is interested in seeing more of Sarah's work, purchasing an existing painting or having a commission done, let me know and I'll put you in touch!

In 1910, Mark Twain visited Bermuda.
Upon his arrival, he penned these words: “You go to heaven if you want to, I’d rather stay here.” That attitude captures what most visitors to this island paradise feel.
In fact, Bermuda regularly beats most islands in the Atlantic and Caribbean regions in surveys of the top vacation destinations, and for good reason.
Bermuda, with its pink-tinged shoreline, relaxed island culture and rich cultural history, is truly a vacation paradise.
No matter what your activity of choice may be, you will find it when traveling to Bermuda.
Playing Sports on Land and Sea
The beautiful weather, sprawling beaches and miles and miles of coastline all add up to one thing – a destination where sports activities are abundant.
From golf and volleyball on the land to boating, fishing and swimming on the water, you will find ample opportunities to get and stay active while visiting Bermuda.

Caribbean Beach Resort on Wednesday, February 6, 2018 in Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida.
I talk abut how I took this photo on the All Ears blog post: Caribbean Beach Resort Reflections at Walt Disney World.
So many boats were docked along the shoreline and in the numerous small harbors that line the main street (Loyd G Smith Boulevard) which runs along the southern shore of Aruba. The weather was perfect and the waters so clear and blue. It was a wonderful stroll through Oranjestad.
