This is another kind of envelope for giving cards as a gift - about 5 cards with envelopes inside each. I premake these so I have something on hand in an emergency. You can just cut the 1/2" CS in a square, put a brad through it secure on end of ribbon/twine/whatever you come up with as a tie on the top & it's done. I copied my template from one in my local craft store - might be one on-line. On one card - HA Clear butterfly & on other HA Clear leaf from the Share Laughter set. You want to choose one saying, one earthy thing, one fun thing to stamp - or so I'm told.
Card for one layer challenge. The background is created with masking straight on the card with masking tape. I used reinkers + Glimmer Mist pearl to create the painted background.
When dry, it was then stamped with "Many Birds" stamp + Versamark. Then it was heat embossed with white powder. Finally, peel the masking tape carefully off the card.
TFL & happy stamping. :)
Working with this gorgeous new stamp set from SSS, more spring flowers. I coloured the biggest flower using some distress inks and added an ombré background for some interest.
Here's how I attached the acetate as the front of the card: I stamped and colored the image using Efflorescence from Penny Black on 4.25 x 5.5 card stock. Then I attached it with temporary adhesive to the card base and fussy cut the outline. Finally, I sandwiched the acetate between the two layers.

This is a card I made earlier this year for a class I'll be teaching at China Phoenix 2 this summer. Since this week is folds, and Sheri did an easel card, I thought I'd go ahead and share the two I made with you. More photos on my photostream ;D
The image is emboss resist, using distress inks to color
The back of my business card at The Chopping Block. Each of us at the Block chose a different olympic sport to portray ourselves as...I chose ping-pong. That IS my head on the body of a real ping-pong player.
CREDIT CARD TREE IN MIXED MEDIA
In my rebellion against shopping this Thanksgiving week(I have not been in a store or shopped online),...I discovered the best use for me of my credit cards....
This is a Gesso coated board....with Acrylic Paints SCRAPED on with a CREDIT CARD....and finished with a bit more acrylic applied with a brush, as touch ups.
Just a fun experiment..
My late brother sent me this card in 2002. It is not, as this image suggests, two dimensional - but this is the only way I could scan it. Opened it stood on the mantelpiece as a 3D diorama. He knew I would like the steam engine - and the old car. It is one of the very few cards I have ever kept, let alone scanned.
Just experimenting. I drew that little drawing. Teehee. :D
Edit I might turn this in to a template, if anyone is interested.
I needed a personal business card to give people for publicizing my works so i came up with this idea and i realized in a day.
I know the graphic of the card is crappy but i needed something quickly to print and test it, however it is still a first test.
I used all film canisters i found unused, print in a printing service with a plotter printer on 135 g/m paper and everything is handcut.
I hope you enjoy my idea :)
