Prompt: A magical fairy in an enchanted winter forest, surrounded by glowing snow-covered trees. She stands gracefully next to a towering, magnificent Christmas tree, adorned with sparkling white, silver, and green ornaments and glowing lights. The fairy has exquisite, translucent wings with shimmering patterns in white, red, and green, matching her elegant gown that flows like snow. An abstract shot of my old graphics card for this week's Macro Mondays theme of 'Handle with Care'. Circuit boards are notoriously vulnerable to static and are quite fragile. I used some cat toys to make an interesting background and a Canon EF100mm f/2.8L lens strapped to 52mm of extension tubes giving a magnification of roughly x1.47. 10 natural light exposures at f/5.6 combined in Zerene Stacker.

This is a close-up photo of the growing tip of an amaryllis plant and its reflection in a flex card.
My hot breath seemed to warm it up and it began vibrating its wings.

The main photo from our Christmas card this year.
I'm very proud of how this turned out, as I put a lot of work into the lighting.
Strobist info: Lighting of this shot was just about the most DIY I have ever done. I don't yet have an umbrella or soft box stand, so I really had to improvise. I setup a ladder to the left of this scene. I put a flash gelled with full CTO on the second rung of the ladder. Because I wanted somewhat softer light, I used a dowel to hang a 5-in-1 reflector as a make shift soft box. To prevent light leak, I moved a chair to the side of the ladder. the caused the somewhat dramatic lighting, but I needed some fill light. All I did here was close our bright white window blinds to cause some reflection of the flash light. I then used a long shutter time to ensure the tree and background were nicely exposed.
Made of Washi paper. It says "Congratulations". People use these cards to give others money, usually for weddings or other special occasions.

This card was made from parchment including the fuschas.The pattern was taken from a picture. I made it for my dear friend Anne
Proof if there be needed one doesn't have to venture far or do a lot bring Wildlife in close. This Common Carder Bee aswel as other Bumblebees have been descending on the Viper's Bugloss wildflowers at the side of our drive that we sowed last Spring.
I've nearly been late for work myself watching these guys doing their thing!

Fine granulated sugar on my Visa card at a 1:1.5 ratio and 35% crop. The photo before the crop was about 1\10 of the surface area of the card.
