We visited the cemetery where this rather remarkable man was buried. I love his card from the tail end of his days on earth.

I originally designed this card as a wedding invitation for dear friends. I wanted to give a subtle nod to their Asian background.

The interlocking Yin Yang design with Japanese flower motif opens up to reveal two interlocking hearts and a message for your Valentine. Overlapping two different colors of paper allows you to customize this card for weddings or anniversaries as well.

Design for a recipe card - cupcake them.

I saw this technique for a sand portrait in the digital photo magazine and thought I'd have a go at it...

The image is made of two photos found via an internet search and then merged and blended in photoshop

This stereoview card is from a collection my son purchased online. They are someone's personal photographs, and they were all taken between 1933 and 1936, mostly on vacations. The photographer is unknown, but judging from the notes on the back of some of the cards, I believe they belonged to George and Helen Kirk, who may have lived in Wisconsin.

***Randy Atkins has provided some additional information. George and Helen Kirk lived in Elgin, Illinois, where George was the chief engineer for the Elgin Watch Company***

here is a birthday card i finished for Peaceable Kingdom Press. it should be available in late spring.

Stitched paper and sprayed flower seeds

Because it's hard to photograph this card, I scanned it, you still can't see the true colour, but at least you can see the pattern. It's a lot of Phicops, hey, I remembered the name of a pattern, I usually don't care for official names...

Janet has an unparalleled gift for making amazing cards.

She swears that I said the words she has written underneath.

I am going to frame it.

Macro Mondays' theme for this week is "cards"! I can think of LOTSA kindsa cards but, as I have a pretty neat little collection of old greeting cards and other vintage memorabilia in card form, I decided to stick with these. This is a postcard from my Uncle Russ and his cousin, Charlie when they went west to Saskatchewan in 1937 to help with the harvest . It was Depression time and jobs were VERY hard to come by! The caption reads-"we'll do anything in reason-but we won't come home"!!!

From Photo-one. Thanks man.

I bought this lovely card catalog when I visited the British Library in London. It was love at first sight! The box contains 30 notecards from the Library of Congress (copies of course). In the box there’s also envelopes and tabbed dividers. I am sure I can use these in my art journaling.

Lots of watercolour stamping and some die cutting here. Card is based on a sketch from fairyschallenge.blogspot.ru/2013/05/23.html

Common Carder Bee - Bombus pascuorum

Quite possibly the coolest business card I've ever had, from Viewzi.com. Though I no longer work there, it was a blast while it lasted. Ah, the boom and bust of a fledgling start-up.

Note: Since people keep emailing me to ask, the cards were done by these guys...

http://www.markingsystems.com/

They don't normally do business cards. It was a favor to Viewzi's VP of Design (at the time) Stephen Anderson, who had a working relationship with them (one of his agency clients).
