For once we had sunshine on pinhole day and I had a new very low tripod to play with as well so a low viewpoint shooting to show off the DOF was easy.
I must find some time to refine the hole size I'm still short of some sharpness.
No filter :-)
The pinhole was a exchange of gear with TomA, so this is a "letter to Tom"
A couple of new batteries arrived for the D3, they don't last forever and Nikon seem to think money is no object. Autumn dog walks throw up autumn colours and seed heads the "old" 50mm 1.8D is still a decent enough lens and the "old" D3 seems to take pictures just as well as it ever did. Thom Hogan recently advised D3 owners looking to change camera to think again, I agree.
An aged woman in the Barrio Los Magallanes de Catia, Caracas. She had never gone to school when she was young and after her 70 years of age has learnt writing and reading under Bolivarian Government's literacy program, which she is proud of. Far in the left of the picture appears a fragment of the buildings of Caracas, the capital city of Venezuela. She has to transfer twice collective jeeps to get to the foot of the hill and then get on a subway to access the Down Town. The people who live on the hill top gets up at four o'clock to arrive on time to their work places.
*A "barrio" in Caribbean Spanish means urban marginal community.
Walking around in Soho with Rodney and Aldon we saw the cool orange walls that you see in the picture and I was especially loving the light streaks. However, there was 2 problems.
Problem 1: The wall was too high. No worries, I just lay down on the floor and got out my 35 mm lens
Problem 2: To get Aldon properly exposed meant losing all the contrast in the background. I therefore, decided to get the flash out, underexpose the background and bring light to his face
Thanks very much much Aldon for being such a great sport.

Capture One Express (for Sony) | Legacy BW preset #CaptureOne
* Capture One Express Sony (Free) - Multi view-edit-export - every process is so much faster than SilkyPix Developer 10 (2010 old iMac)
* Auto Adjust function generates more realistic colours and brighter images than SilkyPix Developer 10 auto adjust = over-saturated / over-contrasty
* Excellent auto color/noise reduction
* Highly recommend for beginners getting into raw files editing #CaptureOneExpress Sony (Free) / Capture One Express for Fujifilm (Free)
I seem to have a purple thumb for spiderwort. I have cuttings everywhere, and they're all blooming and going crazy, even as we move into winter.

Located on Olive Street in Pine Bluff. Finding an older style McDonald's sign was somewhat of a quest. But I did it. :)
What you don't see to the right, is several poles. And due to the sign being parallel to a east to west direction. I had to shoot at an angle. until Summer comes, the far side will be in a shadow.
