Une photo que j'avais prise il y a déjà un petit moment, quand le niveau d'eau du lac de Bienne était plus bas qu'en cette saison et laissait plus de pierres apparentes.
J'avais trouvé ces deux pierres côte à côte très curieuses.

De Amethistzwam (Laccaria amethystina) soms ook wel rodekoolzwam genoemd, heeft een lila/violette kleur.
De hoed is klein tot middelgroot, meestal 1-4 cm in diameter, en heeft een golvende of gelobde rand. De lamellen staan ver uit elkaar en zijn ook lila/violette van kleur.
Het is een bio-accumulator van zware metalen, wat betekent dat het zware metalen uit de omgeving kan opnemen en opslaan.

De paradijskraanvogel (ook bekend als Stanleys kraanvogel) is te herkennen aan de blauwgrijze kop en de opvallende oranje-rode snavel. In tegenstelling tot veel andere kraanvogels hebben ze geen rode plekken met naakte huid op hun kop. Deze vogelsoort is de nationale vogel van Zuid-Afrika en is endemisch in die regio.
Cela faisait déjà plusieurs fois que je m'étais dit de m'arrêter pour prendre cette roche en photo et ce jour-là, la lumière et le contraste étaient si époustouflants que je ne pouvais pas passer à côté de cette prise de vue.

EEN BLAD is een dun, bovengronds orgaan dat gewoonlijk aan de stengels of takken van zaadplanten en varens groeit. De bebladering is het geheel van de bladeren van een plant. De belangrijkste functies van bladeren zijn het vangen van licht voor fotosynthese en de verdamping van water. Met behulp van fotosynthese worden in bladeren, onder invloed van zonlicht, koolhydraten gevormd uit koolstofdioxide en water. Daarnaast houden de bladeren door verdamping en capillariteit een waterstroom op gang in de plant. Bladeren hebben een complexe interne opbouw. De boven- en onderzijde (ventrale en dorsale zijde) van de bladschijf verschillen vaak in kleur, beharing en aantal huidmondjes. In de meeste bladeren bevindt het fotosynthetische weefsel, het palissadeparenchym, zich aan de bovenzijde. Bladeren zijn vrijwel meestal groen van kleur door de chloroplasten met chlorofyllen. Deze absorberen lichtenergie en zijn essentieel voor de fotosynthese.
Bladeren vertonen uiteenlopende vormen, afmetingen en texturen. De brede, platte bladeren met complexe nervatuur die men aantreft bij de zaadplanten, staan bekend als macrofyllen. Bij de wolfsklauwen, een groep met een vroegere evolutionaire oorsprong, zijn de bladeren eenvoudig. Deze worden microfyllen hebben slechts één enkele nerf.
Sommige soorten hebben bladeren die functies vervullen bij de opslag van reservestoffen (bijvoorbeeld in zaadlobben), of bij wateropslag, zoals de bladeren van succulenten.

When walking along Te Anau Lake recently, these two young girls were getting ready with their tiny dingy to pick up a drifting bouy. It was miserable drizzly weather but that didn't deter them. Instead of my unsuccessful attempt that afternoon of making some long exposure images of the lake, I followed their (slow) journey. I think a simple composition made interesting with their white dingy against a background of dark cloudy mountains. One of those unexpected moments. Happy to report that they made out and back safely.

Helmgras (Ammophila arenaria) is een grassoort die goed bestand is tegen zout en droogte. Het heeft een diepe, sterke en uitgebreid kruipende wortelstok die zand vasthoudt.
Deze plant is inheems aan de kusten van Europa en Noord-Afrika en groeit in het zand van strandduinen. Het is een van de belangrijkste planten die duinen stabiliseert en opbouwt door opwaaiend zand te vangen.

The attraction does not allow tripods and so this particular picture pushed the limits of the high ISO capabilities of my Nikon Z6ii, Topaz DeNoise AI and CaptureOne capabilities
Un filtre GND de 2 stops n'était pas vraiment suffisant, alors j'ai superposé un deuxième, toujours de 2 stops (un medium et un hard pour être précis).

Chattanooga, in southern Tennessee, from Lookout Mountain. In the foreground is Garrity's Alabama Battery, a part of Chattanooga National Military Park from the American Civil War. Mid-shot is the meandering Tennessee River, here showing Moccasin Bend, and beyond is downtown Chatt itself.
Known as the Scenic City for obvious reasons, Chattanooga is an industrial and transportation center in Southeast U.S. Besides the river, it has been an important railway hub since the 1850s (hence the 1940s song, "Chattanooga Choo Choo"), and interstate highways connect Chatt with 5 other major cities of the American South.
Culturally vibrant and economically healthy, the Scenic City has seen tumultuous times in the past but is currently thriving. It features many attractions, including Point Park here and nearby Ruby Falls.

PALEIS HET LOO is een paleis gelegen aan de rand van Apeldoorn. Het paleis werd tot 1975 door leden van de Koninklijke familie van Nederland bewoond. Sinds 1984 is het als Nationaal Museum Paleis het Loo opengesteld voor publiek en vinden er tentoonstellingen en evenementen plaats. Het paleis is eigendom van de Staat der Nederlanden. Het beheer en onderhoud van de gebouwen wordt uitgevoerd door de Stichting Paleis Het Loo.

Voor mij een soort van kunst geworden om niet alleen naar het hoofd onderwerp te kijken ... maar ook te kijken naar al het pracht en praal in DE HOEKEN VAN EEN KUNSTWERK ... ik merkte dat ik later niet kon vertellen wat er zich in de hoeken van een kunstwerk afspeelde ... door het vastleggen word je meer bewuster van het hele kunstwerk ...

Incredibly, although I have lived in Copenhagen all my life, I have never visited this architectural gem, which I think is a fitting term for its name. The shots were taken handheld from the bridge at the top level of the building's concourse. I wanted to freeze all motion as much as possible but also get as much as possible in focus so I went for a higher ISO. In hindsight I think I went overboard with the ISO setting and hence the shutter speed but still, the shots did come out ok I think. I have experimented with a few versions of the two different shots. I can't quite decide which ones i like the most, but I am leaning towards the B&W ones.
What do you think?
One more thing: I tried to use a polarizer to reduce the glare from the glass but when I did so I got a weird blue-ish effect on the windows to the outside. Could this be because they have some sort of coating to keep out heat / keep in heat?

Ich habe schlecht geschlafen und werde um drei wach, stehe auf, trinke Kaffe bei Kerzenlicht und lese. Kurz nach vier mache ich mich auf den Weg zur Burg Eltz. Ich hoffe, dass der Regen der letzten Nacht für ein bisschen Nebel sorgt. Ich laufe die 15 Minuten vom Parkplatz zur Burg. Die Sicht ist schlecht. Ich bleibe bis kurz vor sieben bevor ich mich wieder auf den Weg zurück mache.
