The boy is half asleep, as is usual before school happens. The cat just wandered over out of nowhere and sat on him.

Sometimes, we're just minding our own business... then suddenly we get caught in a tangle... without even knowing it...

WOW! My first IRL encounter with a TCT girl! Beetle is unbelievably cute up close! It will be hard to hand this girl over when we reach Sydney!
Thank you so much Jodie and Nancy for letting me escort Beetle to BlytheFest!
We captured data on the beautiful Tulip nebula (Sh2-101) on August 8, 2021. We also had captured some data on this nebula back in 2019. This image combines the two datasets to bring out more nebulosity.
The Tulip nebula is about 6000 light years away from us in Cygnus constellation. The nebulosity that resembles the Tulip flower, extends for ~70 light years. This nebula lies close to the first suspected black hole that is a very bright radio source called Cygnus X1. The Black hole lies close to the double star about 1/3 way up from Tulip's right petal in the direction of the brightest star with the blue reflection nebula around it.
In addition to the bright emission nebula, there is a small reflection nebula near the central star of this nebula. In this version of the image, we tried to bring out the reflection nebula in the center of the Tulip in addition the red emission nebula. Our image also captures the Dark nebula Bernard 144 (B144). B144 is the dark void without many stars above the right petal of the Tulip in our image.
We captured the data using our Stellarvue 80mm refractor and a Nikon D5300 camera fitted with a 0.8x Focal reducer and a dual narrowband filter. Total exposure time was ~7 hours (423 minutes). Capture details for Aug 8, 2021 data are : ISO 1600, f5.4 and a total exposure time of 295 minutes (118x2.5Min). The Aug 22, 2019 data was captured using the same gear at ISO 2000, f7, 128 minutes of exposure (70x110 sec). We combined the data in APP (Astro Pixel Processor and then did more post processing using StarTools. Enjoy!
